I wish I had bought something else.

After delivery, I was taking the protective film off the stainless doors but the sheets of stainless were wrapped BEFORE assembly apparently because it is impossible to remove the plastic at the seams. This creates a "ratty" appearance that should not be in a product that expensive. 2. None of the slides on the freezer compartment or the middle compartment open smoothly. They seem to stick and rub like some cheap drawer. 3. The ice maker/water dispenser in the door seems to greatly reduce the useable internal volume of space for food unlike some other brands. 4. The actual volume of ice it is capable of producing is fine for two people, but not for entertaining, i.e holidays. It's my own fault for going for one on sale instead of gettjng a Samsung or KitchenAid for a little more.

The most effective way to remove adhesive left from film, packing tape, stickers, tags or labels on a new appliance and ensure no damage is done to the finish of the product is to apply a little cooking or mineral oil. You can also use some rubber tipped needle nose pliers to help remove the protective film. In regard to the drawers being hard to open, you can use paraffin wax or petroleum jelly and rub it along the edges of the entire gasket. Disappointment with GE Refrigerator

I discovered it was Manufactured November 2020. GE Delivered to Best Buy June 27, 2021. I thought I was purchasing a new refrigerator when I took delivery on September 27, 2021. Very disappointed. My 21yr old GE Profile refrigerator still works including the ice maker.

Fridge fine, Installers ripped brand new floor.

Installers did not want to walk around back of home to enter through large door sliders. Clearly they were not happy from the start. They took the handles off the fridge and the front door off the home and shoved it through. They ripped a piece of the insulation around the home's door and dented the door jambs. The fridge had a small ding at the top and the natural curve in the fridge door has a flat spot that did not pop back out. Granted you can only see the flattening when the light is on it a certain way. But you see it. The worst thing is they ripped 2 spots on the LVP flooring, despite the wheels. Obviously they just plopped the fridge down and shoved it into place ripping the brand new flooring (wheels???). Now the builder will not fix it because they say it's the BB delivery's fault. Very unhappy.

Does not get cold!

It has superior lighting via the totally lit up back panel down the whole back of the refrigerator. It has the sliding spilt shelf for tall objects and humidity controlled drawers for fruits and vegetables which also had the self close feature. It has the auto fill feature to fill cups of water on the outside of the door without having to hold the cup. It has a great ice maker with metal insides; not plastic that make plenty of ice for the 2 of us. It also has the convert drawer that I love. Then it has the door in door feature so you don't have to open the whole refrigerator... but can just open the door to get condiments. What it DOES NOT do is get cold! I could not get the unit to go below 38 degrees in the refrigerator itself and in the door the temp would not drop below 40 degrees. Bacteria starts to grow at 40 degrees. It allows you to set the temp all the way down to 34 but it will not go down where you set it. This is dangerous b/c not everyone checks the temp of their frig with a thermometer like I did. The one thing that did get cold was the convert drawer. I could get it to 33 degrees. I also could get the freezer to drop below 0 degrees which is great however if a refrigerator does not keep all your food cold what good is it? This refrigerator also does not have doors or drawers that soft close so it was easy to accidentally leave one open. Another minus is the film that GE puts on the frig to keep it from getting scratched. GE puts that film on before they put the refrigerator together. So parts of the unit are wrapped first...like the doors... and then the back piece of the door is fastened or screwed to the front so it is nearly impossible to get this film off without pieces of it hanging everywhere! The guys that deliver are supposed to take it off for you but even they have trouble. They left me with hunks of film stuck on the face of the frig and it took my husband and I five hours to get it off! It was a nightmare and you have to be very careful b/c the frig will scratch if you use your fingernail or something to try to get it off. The frig has great features but not being able to control the temperature is not worth any amount of special features.

Loved it when it worked.

I’m on my second one and it just went out. The first one stopped cooling and had temp issues within a year and a half. Best Buy Total Tech geek squad was great sending out service techs but in the end they replaced it with a new one (went with the same fridge) Almost the same timeframe the freezer stopped working on the second one. Again thanks goodness for Best Buy Total Tech geek squad, they sent techs out and had them come multiple times but to no avail and many parts it is still not freezing. They are replacing it agin but we will go with something else.It is a shame, because this is the one we really wanted out of all of them.

Ice Maker Woes!

It takes too long to dispense ice and the ice maker ran out of ice twice in three weeks. I did call to return before the 15 days but did not have time to go out and find a replacement. I even went out and bought a stand-alone ice maker to make up for how poorly this ice maker is. For complete transparency, please note I am a bit of an ice snob. Any gains I had from the auto-fill dispenser were wiped out by the time I needed to get my glass filled with ice. Too bad, because I think the rest of the refrigerator's functionality and design is pretty good.

The settings for your model should be set to the default settings of 0°F for the freezer and 37°F for the fresh food section. You may increase ice production rates by setting the freezer temperature to a colder setting such as -2°F. Door openings and food load will directly affect ice production. Door handle fell off after 1 month. #GEQuality?!

NOT HAPPY. I haven't purchased a GE product since the '80s and their infamous refrigerator condenser problem... and I worked at GE at the time. We otherwise love the fridge but now I'm worried this is the first of many quality problems to come!

Beautiful but broken

However, it doesn’t work. Less than 2 months after purchasing it won’t hold correct temperature. Service is coming tomorrow to check it out (which took weeks to book). The freezer is currently set at 4 degrees and reading 65 on the thermometer. The fridge has held at about 50-52 but is set at 42. I’m just glad I have a freezer chest and 2 year old fridge that run perfectly in my garage.

Nice while it lasted

Bodewell repair has taken over a month to repair under warranty, and still isn't working. Very nice refrigerator when it was working. The autofill is somewhat quirky, but worked well for the most part and is very convenient. Will probably look to a different brand though if this can't be fixed. It's way too expensive to last only 2.5 years.

Disappointed in Quality Compared to My Previous Ke

The soft-close vegetable and fruit drawers don’t seal properly, rendering the regulator vents on top of each drawer useless. The drawers and doors feel rough when opening and closing, lacking the smooth operation I expected. I previously owned a Kenmore with similar features, and the quality, fit, and finish of that unit were far superior to this GE model. For the price, I expected better craftsmanship and functionality.

Brand new.... water and ice dont work :-(

The water will not dispense and no ice :-( Now I have to wait until Friday 4/9 for service. The problem is that the fridge thinks the door is open (its not). When you try to press the button for water the LED just flashes "Door Alarm". If the alarm is on, it will start ringing and not stop so I turned it off. The installer could not figure it out. This fridge has a top refrigerator, a middle meat/snack drawer, and a bottom freezer. I think the problem is with the top fridge because I put my phone in there and the light does not go out when the doors are closed. Also, sometimes the light does not go on when I open the fridge. It gets 2 stars because at least it cools. I know the probl

We had 7 attempted deliveries of which 4 where no shows or reschedue deliveries. Of the 7 deliveries promises, 3 refrigerators actually arrived at our house. The first two deliveries we saw heavy damage to the refrigerators and they were returned. One was a smashed area where the compressor is located. The second delivery was damaged by a forklift on the sides of the refrigerator. The 7th delivery scheduled we finally received the refrigerator 26 days after ordering it. I like the refrigerator but I would be embarrassed if I was GE on how poorly the packaging is on these refrigerators. I sent an email to a representative at GE while she was at a show in Las Vegas and was told by her that she would get back to me. Nothing back from her. I also agree with others that the blue packaging material is impossible to fully removed when it is squeezed between parts during the manufacturing process. I just hope that I get a longer life on this refrigerator than my previous KitchenAid $4000 French drawer model. It was just junk with everything going wrong, really a poorly built refrigerator. There is now class action ongoing lawsuit against KitchenAid on this refrigerator. I am leaving a marginal review on the GE French door refrigerator Profile due to the issues of their poor packaging. I simply got tired of living out of a dorm size refrigerator in the interim while we waited for an undamaged refrigerator.

Definitely not what I was expecting

Hard to get at some things, seemed like a good idea in the showroom. BUT, they wrap the fridge in plastic and we can not get it all off and it looks HORRIBLE! It's in the edges and creases, and stuck to the doors. Even tried a hair dryer, even Goo Gone. Nope! For this reason I give it 2 stars.

Best Buy’s delivery...

Not only did one of the workers insist that it would not fit through the doors without even taking the time to do the necessary measurements, but they also did not complete the installation properly. They left out important parts, such as the inside drawers, and did not tighten the handles or connect the waterline. We had to go back-and-forth with them for 20 minutes just to get them to do the measurements. This experience was frustrating and unprofessional. I would not recommend this delivery service to anyone, not to mention a 12 hour waiting.

Not good

The dispenser on the ice maker / water is a mess. The main freezer drawer is very hard to pull out and has fallen off the tracks numerous times. This until will be getting returned.

CAME DENTED

NO SOFT-CLOSE DRAWERS. Overall disappointing. Replacements for all defective/dented items came a week later.
