Best Buy sent a contractor to measure and scope out the cook top space in our kitchen, and then sold us a cook top that didn't draft down as we required. Best Buy then took back that cook top, sold us another (more expensive of course), and charged us for its contractor's installation of the cook top. When the contractor showed up, he didn't have the new cook top and asked us for it! When he finally tracked it down, the new cook top didn't fit our counter cutout, even though it had been measured to fit. Ultimately had to hire our own contractor to enlarge the cutout space and install the new cook top. Still waiting for Best Buy to reimburse us for the installation charge.

The design is chic but knobs are located in a position that make everyday cooking awkward unless pots have no handles, but definitely not skillet friendly. The actual size of the cooktop is 29 3/4" not 30" and believe that 1/4" makes a difference. The so-called power boil is anything but it takes at least 10 min to bring a small kettle of water to a full boil at highest heat setting . . . ugh!

Still waiting for it! When may I pick it up? Very disappointed that I haven't gotten it yet.

Previously used slide in ranges that came with the house. This was my first time buying a entirely flat surface cooktop. The center element heats water very fast. Able to boil water in about 2 minutes. Cleanups are easy as there are no knobs to get in the way and any food particles that do not stick can be brushed/wiped over to the counter top. Multiple timers are great to keep track of what needs to be turned off when you have multiple things going on.

For the price I’d say you can’t compare! Great quality and works amazing! The only downside is the touchscreen is a little hard to see when it’s not lit or gets a little oil.

I purchased this stovetop from one of the big box stores when we remodeled our kitchen. We ended up getting all new GE Profile appliances, and most of them (only had for 2 months now) are great. I don't typically feel strongly towards appliances, but I am deeply disappointed by this stovetop. Before we remodeled our kitchen, we had a Kenmore glass stove top. It was about 30 years old and worked just fine, with the normal cons of a glass stovetop. (Never seemed to get perfectly clean, doesn't get as hot as gas.) We've only had this GE Glass stovetop installed for 2 months, and it is already covered in scratches. I'm embarrassed to say I don't even cook that much, so it it's not from frequent use. I didn't drag pots and pans across the stove or anything, but there are scratches everywhere! Also, no matter how much I scrub and clean it, it always looks dirty and streaky, even when using cleaner made for this surface. The knobless design seemed neat at first, but I hate it. I typically will take a hot cookie sheet from the oven and place it on the stovetop (since it's made to tolerate heat), but anything even getting close to these buttons will make it beep and turn on. Lastly, it doesn't sit flush with the counter! We asked our contractor 5 times if it was installed correctly, and they finally showed us the manual. It's 1/4 inch floating above the counter, and it's driving me nuts. We just spent 8K on appliances with GE Profile and want to show off my new kitchen to friends and family, but I am so embarrassed by this cooktop! Please do not buy!

Controls are finicky! Stove broke in all 4 corners and across stove. Not durable. Nice when it works, just not worth the money.

I had go return ghis because my pand would slide off fhe cooktop when stirring. I felt it was a burn hazard.
