The GE cooktop is pretty nice as it cooks well, cleans up good, and has a nice touch with the LED lights under the knobs. The range has a little bow in the front of it and it does not lay entirely flush against the countertop. Or so I think the bow is in the cooktop, where the entire experience for this purchase was suboptimal is the installation. The GE literature does not lie in that it will fit in the place of an old cooktop, I was pleasantly surprised at this. However, the gas regulator on this model is much bigger than the almost 14 year GE cooktop that I replaced and that is where the issue is. The installer hooked everything up quickly but he did not and would not install an elbow pipe to move the regulator away from the rails for a drawer that is directly under the cooktop. Instead the installer told me to take the rail off of the drawer and cut it shorter so it would not hit the regulator, this is clearly suboptimal as the wheel on the rail would make the drawer sit lopsided in the channel when closed. Additionally the gas line ended up just being bent multiple times to make it fit behind all of the drawers in the cabinet instead of using a shorter gas line. The delivery was prompt, the haul away of my old unit that shorted out was easy, the cooktop is great (minus it not sitting flush but this could be the issue of the regulator up against the drawer rails), but the install really left a lot to be desired as I know have a cooktop that is not flush and a drawer under the cooktop that I can no longer use because the regulator hits up against the drawer rail and restricts free movement of the drawer. Due to COVID-19 and that rough period in late March through April where no business or anything else in life seemed to be functioning normally I've just been dealing with this. Unfortunately it seems like I'll have to pay another plumber to make the hookup right or else tackle it myself so I'll essentially have paid for installation twice.

So happy we bought the GE Profile 30" gas cooktop. It looks so upscale and it's really nice to have 5 burners. But most importantly, I can now set the heat to simmer and it actually does (my old one never got low enough). Yay!

Love this new cooktop, this replaced a GE 30" 4 burner black glass cooktop. I feel like it is much larger it is amazing the difference in moving the knobs from the side to the front. Much easier to clean than the black glass. Plenty of room for several pots on the cooktop. I have a griddle that I am able to use again because the left 2 burners are the same size. The only negative is the knobs are made of plastic and I don't see them lasting long.

I’m loving this cooktop. Best thing about it is the center burner for big pots, boils water quickly. I also like the simmer burner location.

I love my new range! The burners all light easily. The middle burner has great power. Love it to get things going faster. So far the whole thing cleans up fast!

Compared with our decade old previous ge stove top, the new stove to had one more burner and more power per burner. Stainless steel should be more durable than porcelain. Mote distance between cooktop floor and grill top means less clearance between stove top and hood. We ended up getting a new thinner microwave to restore the clearance we thought we needed for our taller pots.

I love my new cooktop, although after receiving it and only having it for 3 days and using it once, one of the grates ( the top coating) began to peel. I immediately contacted GE, and they were very helpful and will be replacing the grate. Unfortunately the part is on back order and will have to wait a month before I get the replacement. Other than that. It looks like a professional cooktop and works great!

I never thought I would love this type of appliance as much as I do! It lights so fast, LOVE how the knobs are lit when they are on so you can't make the mistake of leaving the gas on once you remove your pans. I also LOVE the height of the grill covers and the bonus is that it is just pleasing to the eye. So happy I decided to spend the extra $ on this model!

excellent cook top with five burners, looks great and its money's worth

Bought this cooktop when our other one gave out. So far so good. We upgraded from a 4 burner to this 4 burner and I’m glad we did. The space on this cooktop is nice and the ease with how it lights makes this cooktop my favorite.

Nice cooking area, looks nice. Did not fit as the previous ge profile modele and installers charge extra for fitting installation, the cook top has some notchs like dot that will not let fit and needed shaving of tile

You feel safe while using it. Easy to clean and the glow features under knob makes it more safe and appealing and you will get to know if cooktop is not lit up and left out.

I love the aesthetic of this cooktop and cooking with gas is so much more efficient than electric. The only downfall is that the stainless steel surface requires a significant amount of attention to keep it looking clean. The surface is easy to access though.

Looks snazzy and works great so far. I have not had issues with knobs getting hot like some have reported. I like the LEDs.

The unit works well, and after a few weeks service remains easy to clean. Temperature control is excellent.

After considerable research and comparison shopping, I purchased this cooktop to replace one that was 13 years old. Besides being attractively designed, I found the center, or power burner, quite beneficial. Having the lighted control knobs conveniently located in front is another plus. My only complaint is that the griddle that accompanies the cooktop wasn’t provided at the time of installation, so had to be ordered. Once it arrives, I’ll be glad to update this review.

I purchase this range to replace and existing range that came with my home. Let me start by saying the stove has 5 burners and work excellently well. In comparison to my previous cooktop, this cooktop is way better and I’ll definitely recommend.
