Excellent modern stove

I like the knobless feature and the lock controls to prevent accidental "turn on". The oven is larger than my previous one and came with 3 racks. The only drawback is the bottom drawer. It's a little shorter in height and I needed to relocate a cast iron pot to another location...I know it's a warming drawer, but I use it to store some cooking equipment.

My new stove
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've only had this stove a couple of weeks but am enjoying the new features it provides me. The multiple burners are great. And the two-burner sync is awesome. Being able to cook pancakes in half the time makes having pancakes a lot more frequently an option. Not being "into" using wi-fi, I still have to figure out how to use the air fry function.

Does not fry taco shells the same
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I spent a lot to get this stove I had to convert the electric and that was $3,000. Well would I do it again NO I know the stove top is so easy to clean but it does not cook the same. I prided myself in making best tacos in town, not anymore. The stove will not fry the taco shell the same. I don't understand how and why I just know the crunchy light taco shell i used to make are now heavy and not crunchy. The top of the stove has several marks on it and I can not get them cleaned off. Shortly after using it under the glass are some white dotts that show through as if used up The Fry feature is fantastic and does a great job on the food. How ever it makes a huge mess in the stove. I am looking for pans nows I only had a few that worked. I do like that when cooking it does not get as hot in the kitchen. I have purchased silpats to place between my stove and pans while cooking and it does work half the time. I read how some use them all the time to keep the stove pristine. The concept sounds good but fails half the time for me.

Posted .Hi there - Thanks for sharing your experience. It's great to hear that you love the fry feature of your range. Be careful not to slide pots and pans across your cooktop. It will leave metal markings on the cooktop surface. These marks are removable using the a ceramic cooktop cleaner with a non-scratching cleaning pad for ceramic cooktops. Please review the "Cookware Guidelines" pg. 17 of the owner's manual for help with choosing the proper cookware for this unit. We hope this information is helpful. Unusable at 2 years.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So I am writing this review because I am very disappointed in the quality of this product regarding longevity. I have had this stove for exactly 2years this month and it is not functioning leaving me without a stove, and how GE responds to out of warranty customers is unexceptionable after 1 year you are on your own they won’t even schedule you a repair appointment. This was my dream stove and it looks as new as the day I bought it because I take the utmost care of my appliances as to make them last for many years so how disappointing to only get 2 years . Thanks to my credit card company I have an additional 2years warranty on things I buy but how shameful to attempt to schedule an appointment for repair with GE to be given the run around, wasting my time on a product that won’t last for more then 2years. I will not waste my money or time on any more GE products if this is what you get.

Stopped working after 6 months

This is a very common problem. This product is no longer being produced. Please check the complaints on the GE website before purchasing. We called GE and we were told that they would get back to us in a couple of days to see what they could do, since there are no service reps in our very rural area.
