So nice I bought it twice!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had this air conditioner for about a month now and it is hands down the best window air conditioner I’ve ever owned, so much so I bought a second one. The installation is much easier than standard window units, and I can still see out the window. The unit cools very well for its size. Features are pretty standard. This thing is QUIET! It’s hard to express how much less noise this makes compared to other window AC units. At the highest fan and cool settings, it’s only about as loud as the “fan only” setting of my old AC.

Love it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best little Air Conditioner. Very heavy but I love I get the light from the window and how quiet it is. Pretty easy to set up the app once you use the QR code for the warranty, it brings you right to the app from there.

Vents can't move left/right. You've been warned!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Positives: extremely quiet, air is cold, and I really appreciate having my window not being blocked, allowing for daylight. Negatives: the vents can only be pointed in 2 positions upward, not left or right. This is a huge problem and not mentioned anywhere in the product description! We have the unit installed at one end of the room and have a fan and cardboard on top to direct the air to the left, where we sit in the kitchen. Not ideal and definitely would have been a deal breaker if I had known prior to ordering online. Other negatives: display is not backlit, you need to turn a light on at night to navigate the controls. The app is sub-par, does not offer all the options that are on the control panel; emailed support when I realized I couldn't put the unit in sleep mode remotely. They replied to ask which model I had and I haven't heard anything from them since replying to them weeks ago. I'd give it fewer stars if it weren't so quiet and styled so I have my window view. I would not recommend or buy it again. I would like to exchange it for the next size up if the vents were left/right directional but there's only a 2 week return window. I feel that this product is not worth the price paid.

It's like going from a Briggs to a Honda
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've "suffered" for nearly ten years with a standard 8000-ish BTU window unit. I even had installed an aftermarket soft-start capacitor so it would make it quieter. It was fine, but it was time for an upgrade. I knew about the other brand (starts with Mid) and how the window closed down around the unit, but I saw GE had one and it closed the opposite way and I was sold. First thing to get out of the way. You can read reviews and you can watch all the videos you want. None of it will do justice just how quiet this thing really is. It's not just having the compressor outside the window, they really went all out to make this thing quiet. It does have a soft start option built in, this means when the compressor kicks in, you don't get that loud, annoying "thunk" like your standard window units. Anyone who has worked with small engines knows how noisy even standard high end motors can be and how quiet a high end Honda motor can be. This is much like that. I ran it today, it was sunny and 70 with a 30mph wind (we're turning into Chicago apparently). My room faces the sun and it's the middle room on the front, so even on cooler days with the sun out, my room can hit nearly 80 degrees. It cooled the room down in about ten minutes and kept cooling all night... then the temp dropped to 45 (because, Michigan) and I had to turn it off. I won't really know how well it works until summer, but so far I like it. Installation is... well, it's installed. The instructions are about as bad as you can get. Yes, they say what all the parts are and what to do with them, but it's not laid out very well and by the end of it, I sort of made my own way and it worked out fine. I was able to close my window and have it sealed off, so that's what's important. One thing that really bugged me was it developed a rattle and it was driving me crazy trying to find out where it was. Somehow, after installation, the metal plate just under the window was making contact with the inside bit that makes up the extension portion of the unit. This was solved with just a small bit of foam to make it quiet. I'm not going to knock a star for that, maybe your installation will be better. Overall, I'm happy with it and I hope it lasts.

Nice Low Profile / Great Cold Air
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to install with some prior planning. Unit is quiet from the inside and keeps up with good cold air. The Eco setting and wifi controls are nice. This unit does have a "slinger ring" around the fan to throw water against the condenser coils, making the unit quite noisy on the outside. Just be aware of this if your neighbors are close.

Quiet and Powerful for the Bedroom
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This GE Profile window AC is perfect for our bedroom. It cools the room quickly and runs much quieter than other units I’ve had. The remote and app control are super convenient, especially at night. I love the sleek designit doesn’t look bulky in the window. Great performance and very easy to install. Definitely worth it for a peaceful, cool sleep.

Texas heat
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this window unit. We replaced an a/c with this model. After starting up the Clear view, I went outside to take care of somethings. When entering the cabin I have to check that it was on. Almost no noise at all. Yet the room was pleasantly cool in just a few minutes. In Texas heat that was very surprising!!! Cleaning the filters only takes about 2-3 minutes. The filter for the water can be tricky. Grabbing hold is a little difficult when it is seated correctly. A pair of needle nose pliers helps me. If your power goes out, don’t worry. The Clear View starts back up as soon as power is restore. That was a concern for me as I have pets. Hope this information helps. I have purchased a second unit as a gift to my daughter.

Great AC Unit – Quiet and Effective!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using this AC unit during some really hot weather, and overall I’m very happy with it. It is much quieter than most window AC units I’ve used before, which makes a big difference, especially at night. On a hot humid day my room was hot and humid but I switched the settings from “Cool” to the “Dry” and the performance actually improved. The air felt more comfortable, and the unit seemed to run more efficiently. If you’re looking for a reliable, quiet AC that works well in the heat and gives you flexible settings, this one’s a solid choice.

Works Well, Very Quiet
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works well. Love that it slides down over the windowsill. Hard to read the electronic display. When using the remote you cant tell what it is set on, and have to get up to look at the display, so remote is a bit useless. AC Unit is very quiet, and cools very quickly.

Very Quiet and works well - install with patience
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall it works very well - VERY quiet in the "quiet mode" and cools quickly. That said, this unit is VERY heavy (85 lbs) and is a TWO person job to install. This is NOT your typical window AC install! Plan on a few hours (yes) to install and get set up. Be careful of any exterior window trim, siding, etc - anything that can bend or get caught as the rear screw supports can get caught easily on trim (J channel, etc). THE REMOTE - is printed with silver printing, very hard to see in dim light. The WiFi also takes patience to set up, but once set up works great with the app.

Buy It!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this to replace my floor unit. Which I use for hot 2nd story bedroom of over 500sf 1. noise, this thing is quiet !. 2. power, does not use a lot of power 3. It cools room and more with little to no effort. 4. App and auto settings are great. 5. install was super easy. Over all would recommend this unit. So I live in Texas which is on the regular over 100 daily. My room is over 500sf 2nd floor and gets direct sun for 90% of the day. so it tends to be more on the warm side. I am a Combat , and I sleep real hot. I spent a lot of time and money making a noise and light sensitive room where I can relax enough to sleep. this guy does the trick.. Although you can still hear the compressor kick in at times, its no where near the other countless units I have tried. It not only helped the room keep at a good temp, it actually takes some of the stress off house unit and we have seen a decrease in electric bill. I don't write many reviews unless something is worth it. This is worth it. easy install, quiet and the app is actually pretty good..I have it set on a time and pre sets..By the time I am ready for bed, room is good to go!.. Combat Infantry Vet approved. LOL

New Design A/C...yes please!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We desperately needed a new A/C window unit as our (very old) one finally gave up the ghost. We decided to take a chance on one of the newer designed air conditioners that allows more of the window to be shown. So far, we have NOT been disappointed! I love the fact that given the unique design, you don't have to use as much or as many materials to keep air out from either side of the unit. It cools properly for the room space. One thing though, you HAVE to make sure to drain it. Given the design, that's one difference between this unit and other window units. We may be replacing another one soon and we would definitely purchase another one when that fateful day comes.

Quietest Air conditioner I've owned
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although this is a tough install for one person, this is a very efficient machine. It is very quiet and I love the dry mode option. You will have to go outside to install the AC properly and I highly recommend a helper, but it is worth the effort. I've been enjoying a nice cool first floor of my home since installing.

Nice Design
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A really nice design. Not too heavy, however bit unwieldy to get over the sill and in place. Does a great job cooling, however not as quiet as it could be. The plastic front panel likes to buzz when the compressor is running, which I fixed with a little cloth tape. Seems like the sort of thing that should have already been there. Other than that, it's been a great addition.

Enjoying the coolness!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this unit for my rec room/TV room, which isn’t adequately cooled by the central air conditioning system. My install was more complicated than most, because I cut a hole in my exterior wall and put it through that hole, instead of using a window. Because I have slider windows. it runs quietly, and cools the room really well. I don’t run it all the time, just when we’re going to be watching TV, and it cools the room quickly. I even pulled some of the air down the hall and into my sons room as well. I have only had it install about a month, but so far I’m very happy with it I don’t use the app on my phone, I just walk over to it or use the remote control. I love that the bracket is integrated with the unit so you don’t have to go buy another part. It is heavy, so bring a friend!

Overall a good product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this air conditioner a few weeks ago and it is running quite smooth. it is quiet and gets the job done. The heat dome the Northeast faced was conquered in our home by this. Only thing that is a little odd with it is if you touch the top of it, you have to put your fingers in the exact spot. Due to this, we usually just use the remote.

Five Stars and I bought Two Of These Units
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For me this is a five star review. My 20 year old central air system went in June and I needed relief FAST. Estimates I received to replace were in the $5K and $6K area at minimum - I purchased two GE Profile units and my house is FREEZING. They are efficient, as I already got my electric bill for July and it was less than it would have been, and that's running two units pretty much 24/7 - They installed VERY easily with good instructions. I have one upstairs and one downstairs. And my house is not small - it's in the 2000 SQ ft area - The two units run quiet and cool both levels. Five Stars.

Loving this AC unit for all the right reasons.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The design of this unit is exactly what I wanted. It enables me to see out of the better part of the window and sits below the window sill. It’s very quiet and cools the room extremely well. I’ve been using this for over a month and I will be purchasing another one. One of the best features is there is NO flimsy plastic curtains on each side like a regular window unit. Since the opening on each side is so small, GE provides stiff foam insulation board that gives a much better seal and so, so much better and clean look. Goodbye flimsy plastic side curtains.

5 minute igloo!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this low profile ac unit. It is much quieter than my previous old school window unit. Due to size it does take two people to lift to install, but it was still the quickest easy to do install process. Also, shout out to the Oxford, AL store for making my curbside order go smooth and quick. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes and everyone was super nice. I haven’t used all features yet but this unit has my bedroom ice cold in less than 5 minutes. Worth every penny. I will be buying more.
