The wife was getting too hot and she was dropping the temperature on the main house really low making the main unit to run all night. I decided to install a window unit in our room. No need to cool the entire house down when we are in our room all night. This unit accomplish just what we needed. It’s always connected to the app and it responds immediately. It’s super quiet and you can feel it working in minutes. The app allows you to set an on/off schedule I am very happy with this purchase.

Unit itself is nice and quiet I enjoy that later at night. Cons. Lowest it goes down to is 64 wish it could go down to 58 would help having a cooler room right before bed. The remote is just ok and wish I could program it to turn on with certain settings instead of always in eco mode.

GE Clearview AC is very quiet

Although installation requires more effort than a standard window unit, the end result is far superior. We replaced a 10,000 BTU unit with the 8100 Clearview. It does well.

I am a senior with major problems with high heat due to COPD. This air conditioner allows me to look out my window and watch the wild animals and birds in my 1 acre back yard on days too hot to go outside.

I started having issues with this just after the 1 year warranty went out. It started making a loud noise when the compressor came on, but it still cooled the room. It just recently stopped working…wouldn’t even turn on. I got almost 2 full seasons out of it before it died. I’m buying another one, but I’ll be buying the warranty with the next one.

It works well and isn’t loud. Only negative which they give instructions in the manual on how to fix is the noice it makes because of the star hitting in the back. But you can drain it but then it looses efficiency so I’ve decided to just deal with it.

My only gripe is that with how humid it's been recently, it's been very humid inside the room. I solved this with a dehumidifier, and in tandem, i have the perfectly controlled room

However it is very prone to freezing with the thermostat set at 70 on the Auto and eco settings. Secondary consern is for being an 8300 btu the enit doesn’t seem to be putting out that capacity.

Like 45 db, it is so quiet, the condenser is outside, quiet as a mouse, well worth the money and 2 year warranty, havent had one problem so far, GREAT BUY!

Even on quiet mode it cools the room quickly. Installation was not too difficult. I love that it sits lower in the window allowing for more light into the room.
