The 14 year old one dried better and washed better than the new one. I bought it thinking that it was comparable to the other one. It leaves spots when it dries the dishes and it takes longer to do the wash. I would not recommend this dishwasher.

Flimsy junk

It is not solid at all and can and will easily dent. The next thing is very poor drying capabilities. You have to select the wash temp boost AND the High dry boost option to get them somewhat dry. You will then need to leave the door open for several hours so the water inside the walls will dry. All of these options make for an astounding 3 hour and 14 minute long cycle. I thought something must be wrong and scheduled service. The GE repairman told that is how it works.

This is such a great model with Bottle Jets. They are great and ensure a deep clean for tall items, narrow glasses, jars and more. In the upper rack, each of the four bottle wash jets direct water and detergent inside to effectively wash hard-to-reach areas. Also this model has a third rack that lets you easily clean more items in fewer loads. It give you extra loading flexibility with a place to wash and dry silverware, spatulas, lids and more. OK but not as good as other brands

I bought this to be in line with the quality of the fridge and stove. This dishwasher is OK but compared to the Kitchen aid dishwasher that I bought last year its far behind. The major issue is that it is relatively noisy - it makes a loud clicking sound at the beginning of the cleaning cycle. The GE Profile fridge and stove are great.

I thought my old dishwasher was quiet. This one can barely be heard! Cleans beautifully - especially the silverware with the extra jets.

I waste my money

Before one year, I had to call for a warranty. A technician came to review the machine. He explained how the cleaning arms are not run by a motor but by water pressure, and they needed to be extremely clean. (very hard for a dishwasher not to have little particles) One year after we bought it and the warranty expired, the lower level stopped functioning. I called a technician again, and the repair was about $500. I am throwing this machine away and never buying a GE appliance anymore. It literally is breaking apart. The pieces are not staying in place.
