GE Profile Rebate not valid at Best Buy!

Alas, purchases from Best Buy are not eligible for the rebate. GE does not advertise this on the main rebate page or the "click here to find where to buy, which takes you to Best Buy. You have to read the fine print on the actual rebate form from GE. Best Buy, you should make the buyer and the sales associates aware of this! A bit ticked that I bought 5 appliances from Best Buy only to be told by GE rebate team "It states in the rebate form, Best Buy purchases are not eligible for rebate". Now who reads the actual rebate form before purchase. On a side note, I like the Dishwasher, although I've had to have a warranty claim as it was not closing property. Also the rack does not fit tall items.

That is the nicest thing that I can say about it. It was installed without 4 retaining clips that hold the lower wash rack wheels in place. Consequently, the wheels constantly fall off onto the heater element. I confirmed the lack of retaining clips by a trip to the local Best Buy where the display unit clearly has the retaining clips in place. I have reached out to the local Best Buy manager for a replacement unit. Not even the courtesy of a response. I also contacted the Geek Squad and even though the unit is basically brand new, they state that the time frame is beyond the normal replacement window. I do have a repair scheduled with GE, but due to the pandemic repair times are scheduled several weeks out. My Prestige Elite reward zone status gained nothing, and I’ve already spent $50 for 4 replacement wheels.

But right from the get go, aside from sitting in its box for a couple of weeks. once my contractor installed it, it never worked. Stay tuned, having a third party repair person going to try to fix it. It would have been better if they (best buy) just took it back and replaced it with another new one. But best buy nor GE wanted to do it. Against policy i guess. I would understand if it was working for four months or so, but out of the box?? REALLY??
