My protection plan won’t cover it being replaced or repaired, Best Buy claims they have no obligation to fix or repair since they don’t have it registered. $550 was a lot to spend for a year’s worth of ice and zero customer service.

My only complaint is that i purchased the side tank and it doesn't keep the water basin with enough water to make ice. It works perfectly well when i manually fill the reservoir on the machine itself.

Posted .Hello- Thanks so much for your purchase! We are so glad you are enjoying your new Opal Nugget Ice Maker. The ice is perfect and so easy to have a quick and cool crunchy treat. Typically if you have the side tank installed and the water isn't flowing from the tank to the icemaker well, it could mean there is an air bubble in the line. Check the following: Check that the hoses are connected properly. Make sure the hoses are lying flat. Lift the tank from the icemaker and raise it 4-5 inches until water starts to flow; then place the tank back in position. We hope this helps!
