Posted .Hello- Thakns so much for your purchase! Nugget ice is full of tiny air bubbles that give it a bumpy surface. (That texture is where the name "pebble ice" comes from.) Those little gaps make the surface thinner, so it takes a lot less chomping strength to get through. Basically it is lighter, fluffier, and easier to chew than ordinary ice cubes and we are glad you are loving it! If you have any questions in the future, please let us know. We are here to help! Price was more than I had wanted to spend, but after using it, it is worth it. I'm surprised at how long the ice keeps in cups. I thought with the small size, they would melt faster, but they are great. The only con is setting up the wifi to work with my phone. I tried the first day, and couldn't figure it out. Haven't spent much time on it, but it is not as easy as a bluetooth connections and GE's website gives very little help.

Bought this new version and so far it seems easier to clean, is quieter, and havent noticed any mold/slime build up. Been cleaning once a month with vinegar.

The o-ring or cover cap on the water storage tank is defective from time to time and comes off and water leaks when turning tank over to add tank to machine. I called manufacturer to get a new cover cap and they told me to take machine back, so I am just dealing with it leaking from time to time....

The tray in front of the ice maker continues to have wetness when you open and close the tank. We wondered what it was for and now we know after some usage. Love the nugget ice though.
