Poor design - Would not reccomend

After that time, it started making a horrible screeching sound while it was in defrosting mode. The noise was incredibly loud - about the volume of someone yelling. Obviously there was an issue The manufacturer replaced the unit under warranty without much hassle. Unfortunately, the replacement unit began making a similar, albeit slightly quieter noise while defrosting. We are now beginning the warranty process again in hopes to get a functioning unit or refund. I purchased this unit originally, despite being considerably more expensive than other options, hoping that it would be a higher quality unit. There are obviously some design issues or a lack of quality control on these units. I am HIGHLY disappointed.

She fills her Stanley cup daily. With the side water tank filled it last nearly a week making ice. Great buy!

This thing is loud! We are on our second one as well. The first one stopped making ice 11 months after we bought it. GE replaced it but it took them 2 months to send out a refurbished one. You also are supposed to clean it every week. Which means moving it to the sink and running water through it for 30 minutes. And it's heavy. I would stay away from this machine and buy something else. The only good thing about it is I love the little ice chunks.
