Poor design - Would not reccomend

After that time, it started making a horrible screeching sound while it was in defrosting mode. The noise was incredibly loud - about the volume of someone yelling. Obviously there was an issue The manufacturer replaced the unit under warranty without much hassle. Unfortunately, the replacement unit began making a similar, albeit slightly quieter noise while defrosting. We are now beginning the warranty process again in hopes to get a functioning unit or refund. I purchased this unit originally, despite being considerably more expensive than other options, hoping that it would be a higher quality unit. There are obviously some design issues or a lack of quality control on these units. I am HIGHLY disappointed.

I can have tne chewable, "good ice" any time I feel the urge. Machine is quiet enough that it does not bother me while I'm watching television. My husband purchase this for me as a birthday gift and i couldn't be happier. I love to ice and this machine helps with my cravings.
