Makes great ice and works as should Am enjoying it

Great product, and cannot deny that I love the ice.

After 10 months of light use the unit has stopped working. It displays "Add Water" even though there is water in the unit. Unable to run a cleaning cycle because it thinks there is no water in it. Taking it back to the store for warranty repair. DO NOT PAY FOR THE IN-HOME EXTENDED WARRANTY. This unit is considered a small appliance and none of the contractor repair companies that Best Buy uses will repair it on site. I am trying to get a refund of my Geek Squad in-home warranty charge.

I purchased this icemaker and paid quite a bit for the nugget ice. We just found that it stopped working after only one month. Taking it back tomorrow. But loved it while it worked.

This thing is fabulous when you first get it and we all fell in love with it - but i have had it 11 months now and OMGoodness what a disaster. #1 - no matter how many times you clean it, you will ALWAYS have mineral deposits in the water when you drain it and its gross (YES i use distilled and still it happens). #2 Mold will grow inside the reservoir (green and Black). #3 Im scared about the mold i cant see inside the machine - its def there! #4 and probably the MOST Impt - NEVER LEAVE YOUR HOME FOR AN EXTENDED AMOUNT OF TIME WITH THIS THING ON. You get into the mindset to treat this like a fridge, don't. We took a week long trip out of state and didn't even think about unplugging this before we left. Suddenly, on my nest camera - we heard an unfathomably loud noise. Like picture a jackhammer gouging concrete. I wish i could upload the video. It sounded like it was going to explode at any second. I actually had to take a flight back to unplug it and fly back to the destination in one day. I wish i could upload the video of this crazy noise that even our neighbors heard from outside! This thing is now the bane of my existence. Not worth the money at all in the long run. Take it from someone who thought it was the best thing next to sliced bread when i first bought it.

I had read the previous reviews and purchased this ice maker 2 weeks ago. I turn it on in the morning and off at night so that I don't burn out the motor. So far so good.

Love this ice machine. Never thought I’ve would make the difference in the way water tastes, but this does!!! Water seems so much more refreshing! Highly recommend this machine!

Easy to set up. Ice gets made as soon as you take ice out of the machine. I absolutely love this ice maker and would highly recommend it.

We got ours for a steal, and we absolutely love it. The smart updates are a bonus, but not necessary to enjoy it. Cleaning is a breeze as well

I love the ice but sometimes the machine doesn't get the water from the tank and keeps telling me to add water.

I would have given a 5 star but have had it less than a year and it’s leaking water all over the counter top

Nice ice when it worked. It died a little over a year after purchase. No support or parts from GE for small appliances so it is now a boat anchor :(. Looking at other reviews here and elsewhere, avoid at all cost!

Item is big and takes up majority of the counter depth. I returned it because of the higher than expected noise level.

I absolutely love my nugget ice maker! It’s small enough to fit on the counter well. And the only downside is the basket is rather small when everyone in the house wants a full glass of ice at the same time, however within 15 min or so there’s more to go around.

I’ve only had a month and my favorite Ice maker so far! It barely makes any sound, looks sleek on countertop, easy to clean.

This machine makes great ice. The issue is that I didn't have one last more than a month. Both units had screaming noise when entering defrost mode. Further, they went into defrost mode very frequently which hindered ice production significantly. Had to return both in 30 days.

Got this in April of 2021 and it’s Dec of 2021. It’s already died. Pump and compressor went bad. GE will not service, you have to use Opal’s own service department, which is nearly nonexistent.
