However it goes into a "defrost" mode about 4-6 times a day and it screeches for about 10-20 minutes each time. I've contacted GE and they tell you to clean it, which I have. Its good for about a day and continues to make noise after that. For the price of this machine I'd expect a better design. I wish I never bought it.

Takes too long

Haven't tried the blue tooth feature, but definitely got to impatient on this ice machine. The water tank will be full but says "empty" and takes too long for it to fill up with ice. I would put the ice in a bag or container in the freezer but didn't like how it'll all stick together.

Defective Design

Took us a while to notice, but apparently was running down the wall and into the cabinet below that we have now discovered. Took off the sides to see what was happening when running and water leaking from multiple points internally. No solution as it is out of warranty

I'm regretting not paying attention to the many dissatisfied reviewers online. You are warned: yes, it could happen to you. After 16 months my $600 purchase became a 40 pound paper weight. Pay for the extended warranty if you wind up buying this. Looks like you'll use it. ☹️
