    Stopped working after 6 months

    The GE Profile - Opal 2.0 stopped working after 6 months. Also note the tray that holds the ice isn't insulated, so it is continually making ice as the ice in the tray is melting.

    Its 2 months ols and already broke down. For $ 700 i got ripped.

    I’ve had this ice maker 6 months and two weeks ago it completely stopped working. It’ll make handful of ice then quit. $600 for a ice machine to work 6 months is ridiculous and outrageous!

    This thing is so cool, and i wish it wasnt a giant piece of junk so bad. 3 weeks in, Ive had 3 now. They all make so much noise and require hours of cleaning weekly for “descaling” even though I have soft water…makes no sense. Also, the ice bin has alittle air gap between the ice and outside air (good idea) but after the first day its held a tiny bit of condensation. Not air tight, and for a $650 appliance it looks terrible. Do better GE…qc your products. This could be such a great buy….just not for $650

    Broke after only a year and a half of use and couldn’t do anything to fix it. Stopped making ice even with running regular cleaning cycles

    I don’t recommend this one, this was my 2nd one the first one I thought it was just a little damage. But my send one after 30 days that u didn’t use everyday the filter needed a replacement and it’s complicated. The ice has a bad taste because of that.

    Couldn’t get one piece of ice to be made! Instead, after following the BOOK of instructions to the T and also calling support, the machine said to add water- when it was full- then it leaked all over the floor and counter. I really expected better and wanted to love this machine

    Definitely not worth the money leaked all over my counter and didnt keep the ice like it says it will. Well sorry it did for the first two day then stopped working

    Never worked right from the get go and inly had 13 days to Return to store. Now GE wants to exchange with remanufactured product not Even equal to my original purchase.

    This machine had a slow leak from day one. Did not notice till we had cabinet damage. Even though purchased defective can only exchange to store in 15 days.

    Very disappointed i had this for one day and it started making a horrible sound the second one was the same i was so excited for this for it not to work both times

    It worked wonderfully the first day, then it started making a loud noise. Then it started defrosting every 15 minutes when it should be making ice. Returned it and never got another one.

    Purchased 1.5 years ago. Just stopped making ice this week. Followed everything GE said to do. Finally they said sorry it is broken. Never buying GE again.
