The good ice, need I say more. We love this machine, it does occasionally makes a weird noise.

Have been using this same ice maker for 4 years and love it! Just purchased another unit for a friend who is going thru cancer treatments. The ice is comforting...and helps with hydration. It's a great ice maker!

A little over a month in and we still love it. Love how easy it is to clean versus the small cheaper ones. It’s nice and quiet on our countertop and looks good. We keep the nightlight on.

The wife wanted me to buy a built in ice maker. After installation it was well over $3K. I purchased this to avoid appease her. She was prepared to hate it, mainly because she wanted the built in like one of her friends. Guess what - she admitted to loving this a few days after I set it up. The ice is perfect and the price for the "good ice" is a fraction of what I was going to have to spend. Best purchase of 2020. (sad commentary I know - but this thing is still really good).

I'm not going to lie. I love this machine but I echo all the one star reviews. Yes, it does make a noise and it gets worse over time but I could live with that. However, the maintenance is absolutely daunting. I follow the instructions, descale every 2 weeks, use bottled water only. But, the mold is just aweful---in the tubing and in the holding chamber. I have to remove the backing just to get to the chamber every 2 weeks. There's scales in the tubing and there's no way to get to it, not even vinegar descale every 2 weeks. If there's an easier way to replace the tubing myself, I would gladly do it. Started having problems about 1 year in. Now, 16 months in, its' days are numbered. GE, if you're reading this, there's got to be a better way to clean this.

Makes great ice in perfect size nuggets. Makes ice fast. The only minus is that it has to be cleaned every three weeks with a time consuming process, and high cost.

family loves it. Gets used 100 times a day. Doesn't leak, unless you don't connect hoses well. If ice melts it gets recycled into the machine and becomes ice again. Only complaint would be if I could hook it to my refrigerator line so I don't have fill up the reservoir so often.

Had my og machine for a year then it died. Turned it in a went through 4 machines within 1 month before this loud noise starts. Then get new machine and it lasted 6 months returned to qeek squad now it had to be sent in for repair (policy change)and now best buy had this machine for 4 weeks with no info so stay away from the machine and geek squad. Toatal rip off.

We have owned two of these so far... the first one started making loud noises and then started leaking. Got another one and it also started leaking. In addition, these things are a pain to clean, and nearly impossible to keep clean. Mold grows throughout the tubes of this thing.

This ice machine is one of the best things I've ever purchased. The ice is perfection. After using one at home and loving it, we even bought one for my office.

This is the best kind of ice maker without having a plumber install it. The ice ice like Sonic ice which in our neck of the woods means it’s the greatest possible.

Right from the start this ice maker has made a screeching sound during the defrost. It started off small, the screech, and now it is sounds like the machine is dying a slow death. While the machine makes ice, which is it's intended purpose, it also makes this terrible sound, so loud that if you are watching a movie in the other room you must turn it off. And, GE OPAL Support is MINIMAL at best. I am guessing this thing will not last long.

My husband and I absolutely love this ice machine! Fits perfect on our coffee bar, was a little bigger than we expected, however the ice is perfect little nuggets and makes all our beverages even better!

We purchased this for our small office (7 employees) and we have been very satisfied. It makes plenty of ice for all of us. So far we have not even come close to running low. As soon as you scoop some out, it starts working on a new batch so that it is always full.

We love this. My kids eat ice like crazy, so this soft ice is perfect for them. I love this ice for my soft drinks. The only downfall is that it doesn’t hook to a water line to provide an endless supply of water. Instead, we just have to frequently refill the side tank.
