I like i've seen so many times on this page already have had a terrible experience with this overpriced counter appliance. Its almost verbatim what others have said, right at the year mark of ownership it started leaking it seems from every possible crack in the housing panels. It will end up once dried like calcium deposits covering the bottom seam of the panels. I have took this apart many times, the most recent time i replaced all the tubing inside the unit, which i would recommend since they get coated with the sludge/mildew slime. I use the cleaner regularly too. Even with the new tubing and upgrading the small spring clamps it finds ways to leak, which with any fluid will happen. I love what the icemaker produces, and i dont rely only on this one - i have a samsung bespoke with dual ice makers already; just wish this product would be quality built and last!

We love these machines. We had a first-generation model, and when it failed after 5 years, replacing it with this model was a no-brainer!

Best thing our company has ever bought for our break room. We have 30 employees and it keeps up with us using it constantly. Also, everyone love the nugget ice vs a traditional ice maker.

Absolutely love the pebble ice however the machine is terribly noisy, otherwise would be 5 star all the way.

Ordered as a gift for my wife. It makes a ton of ice. No more trips to the ice machine for fancy ice!

I bought this for my son and daughter in law for Christmas and they love it. It makes the perfect amount of ice for their family. It's also nice that you don't have to have special water line to use it.

So far the ice maker is operating very well. It makes ice quickly and it is quieter than the first model. This is my second opal ice maker.

It kept all of us supplied with ice during my family’s visit during Thanksgiving holiday.

My family has owned 4 of these in the last 5 years. Four have died and the 5th one is about to bite the dust. I will never purchase another. These were produced by another company and purchased by GE ( the only reason we bought a couple more) They always seem to be just out of warranty when they quit working And at 500.00 + per unit can't be justified. Not all of these units were purchased at Best buy this is more of a rating review for the GE product. I guess I find it hard to believe some folks give this a great review. From our experience it is not an issue of when it will go bad ( all mechanical/electrical appliances will stop working) it's a question of how quickly it will go bad.

This is my second Opal 2.0 in a month. The first one didn't draw correctly from the reservoir. This one works well. The only thing I'm not fond of is after the ice bucket becomes full, and if I don't use the ice and it melts, it doesn't make ice again until I open and close the drawer. What that means for me is I don't have fresh ice in the morning for breakfast. When I wake the ice bucket has melting ice. As soon as I open and close the ice drawer it begins making ice. It's an inconvenience but I love the ice it makes.
