Pros - It's the type of ice I have wanted at home but never knew how to describe. It's like the ice that I used to get with fountain drinks at the little league snack shack. It's the ice that made me always want a fridge with an ice machine that could do good crushed ice...but it was still never the same. This machine also makes ice quickly, and is not nearly as noisy as some of the other reviews would suggest. Cons - It's expensive. And it's a little tall for some under cabinet locations. That's really all the negative I can find.

Have been using our ice maker for about a month, now, and we love it. It is quieter than expected and makes plenty of perfect ice. We stockpiled ice in our deep freeze for our Thanksgiving family gathering and it was so nice. I will say it is preferable to store ice in plastic ziplock-style bags and not in Tupperware-style storage containers, as the ice will be slightly wet and cause it to freeze in clumps. It is much easier to break apart when stored in bags. This is a large unit and did not fit under our upper cabinets, so we use it on a rolling cart to move it near the sink for drainage and cleaning.

My wife loves it. It’s fast, the ice is the perfect size, easy to set-up and clean. Totally worth the price. And it’s not loud at all.

We both love this ice maker the moment we got it. It’s worth the money and it’s one of the top highly rated ice makers. Both me and my Husband use it all the time and we both love this kind of ice and it keeps drinks cold for a long time. It’s the Best ice maker ever.!!!! I highly recommend and suggest getting this ice maker for you and for your family if you are looking for a ice maker.

I bought this for my wife for Christmas. I’ve been wanting to get her one for a couple of years now and finally decided to make it happen. My wife loves ice, especially the pellet ice. She says this is some of the best ice she’s ever had. As compared to Sonic ice, the Sonic ice doesn’t even come close she claims. As for setup and operation, it was very quick and easy to start. It took several hours to fill up the bin, but once it’s full, it maintains a good amount of ice, even with more than moderate use. Highly recommend.

Best ice maker! I bought the first one a few years back and decided to buy a second for our vacations home. The first one is still running like new.

My family loves our ice machine! It’s has become a staple in our house when grabbing a drink or just something crunchy. The only problem we had was with the filter but once it was in right everything has been smooth ever since.

My refrigerator’s ice maker broke 2 yesrs ago and i needed something to make ice. FYI dont ever by a Samsung refrigerator, theyre junk. This GE makes ice so fast and the ice is the incredible Sonic style ice. Maintaining the machine is paramount though. It needs descaled at least once a month depending on your water quality. Overall, I can’t recommend this machine enough if you need an ice maker.

Great for people who like to chew on ice all day! Also, good for making drinks. The only downside is the noise.

Easy To Assemble. Makes Ice Fast. Makes Soft - Chewable Ice. Makes Sounds Like My Cat Is In Heat. It's horrible. I'm returning mine to see if I can get one that doesn't sound like rabid cats mating.

I’ve had for a month now. Works as advertised. It took approximately two hours for ice bin to fill the first time. It has made a couple of “growling” noises but continued to work fine. Pros : it makes nice ice and we have not ran out (family of 5). Cons: it’s fairly noisy but getting use to it. Also I wonder how much electricity it uses. So far overall I’m satisfied. Four stars because of noise

We have had this ice maker for 9 months and we love it! Works well, a little loud at times but you get used to it. Very happy with purchase.

We love our ice maker! One important note, make sure to get the extended warranty. May reviewers mentioned their machine had issues just after the one-year mark and how easy the exchange process was with the extended warranty. We had the same problem. The machine itself makes great nugget ice, quickly with a minimum fuss. We have not used the WiFi capabilities so I can't comment on that.

I love this ice machine! Is so easy to use and the ice pellets are right size to munch on!

Nugget ice is the only way to have a drink with ice and what better than the Nugget Ice Machine!! Perfect ice every time and the app makes controlling the device so easy setting a turn off time and turn on time so you wake up with fresh ice every morning. Worth it!!

My wife LOVES this little ice maker. It makes nugget ice, just like Sonic. If you aren't an ice person, you won't care about this, but if you enjoy the ice you get at Sonic, you will not be disappointed with the GE Profile! We've had our for three years now and it is still going strong!

Love the way this machine works. The only negative response is the sounds it makes, but it is in the kitchen so it doesn’t matter.
