Posted .We are so pleased to hear you are loving your nugget ice at home. This is definitely the Good Ice and we're glad it is working quietly and efficiently. The side tank option is the best! It is installed flush to the front of the ice maker so that it does not block the air flow vents on the Opal. Fill the Opal Ice Maker Dispenser's lower water reservoir, if desired. Water will flow from the Side Tank but will have a slow start as it needs time to fill up the water reservoir before the ice maker can begin.

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It was cool till it started being annoying and loud asf when making ice. it made loud screeching noises and sometimes would not make ice and would act like it didn’t have no water smh. also using regular sink water would leave the machine minerallyish and so it was a pain to clean. so if i were to rebuy, try and use purified water and maybe it won’t act up. otherwise love the ice. buy the warranty- trust

Sonic ice at home!

However she finally wore me down. It’s a bit noise, but works great! Only thing I would like to see changed for future versions is a refrigerated bin.

Great Ice! did a lot of research best deal and price for your money had it since September 2020 not one problem i did had to add a water filter because regular water clogged up the machine. Now the ice is clearer and tastes much better. Can’t survive without it especially in the summer. Thanks GE!

Profile 2.0 is much quieter better built better softer chewable ice than the rest. Don’t waste your money on other models

Its perfect ice for my drinks since its been over 100 degrees for three weeks. Its easy to use and love that i can set a schedule to have ice freshly made when I get home.

We decided to purchase a new fridge instead. Even though we purchased a new fridge with an ice maker. But we still use this ice maker more than the one on the fridge. We love this ice maker. This is an excellent ice maker for those that entertain a lot.

Don’t want ice from the water in our holding tanks. We use Zephyrhills bottled water. Nice to have fresh clean ice anytime we want. Machine draws too much current to run on battery power. But ice lasts hours without power. Just crank the generator for an hour or so to regenerate ice again. Love it!

Posted .Hi, and thanks for reviewing – we’re so glad you’re loving your Opal! We do regret that you’re not always able to use the side tank, and we know this must be concerning. If the side tank is installed but water won’t flow from it to the icemaker, there may be an air bubble in the line. You might want to check that the hoses are connected properly and lying flat. You can adjust the tubes by lifting the tank from the icemaker and raising it 4 to 5 inches until water starts to flow, then putting the tank back in position. Only reason for 4 stars is ice maker arrived dented. Packaging came apart during shipping. Decided to keep it anyway since I had waited for it to be instock since Christmas and I decided to keep it and not send back.

I purchased a protection plan for it, but Best buy is refusing to service it even with 2 year protection plan because the protection plan is only good for 1 year... apparently.
