Our ice machine for our fridge broke and we debated if we should get a new one or spend the money on thr machine. We are believers and love this thing. Makea great ice and really works efficiently. Highly recommend

I had the first edition Opal machine and it recently quit working so we ordered the GE version. So far I am very impressed and like it more than the previous edition. I am an ice snob and this machine TOTALLY satisfies my snobbiness! My friends love coming over to the house bc they know they get to have "sonic" ice! I know it is pricey but it is WORTH EVERY PENNY

Extra Tank is a is a plus. Makes plenty of ice. We have 3 people in our home and always have enough ice ready to serve to our guest when they come over. Just like sonic ice..

We absolutely love this ice maker, the ice pellets are the perfect size for all of our beverages. We are a family of 7 and the machine easily keeps up with our ice needs. Highly recommend and well worth the money!

This purchase was for a gift so I can only comment on information provided by reciepient. Ice maker has made GREAT ICE since first use. The only problem with this purchase was with the shipping which was a fiasco. Advise anyone to just stay on top of delivery status.

I have had 2 other countertop ice makers that have since passed. both made very solid ice in different ways. love this thing. starts spitting ice out very quickly and makes the great nugget ice. the outboard reservoir is handy, others are just what they can hold internally and they need filling often. great countertop maker

With so many choices and so many bad teviewd of other ice makers, i was concerned. I have to say it is as advertised. Makes ice quickly, and its the crunchy ice for ice chewers. Id recommend this for aure.

The first few days was working well but after the filter was attached the machine started would act like there was no water in the side tank or main tank within one week. The machine was making very strong squealing noise. I liked when it worked for the few days but did not have a great experience. Returned rather than exchange. Also arrived damaged right out of the box from delivery.

I've been thru about 5 different ice makers, and the GE Profile Opal, is the best I've ever had. I can completely empty the ice bucket and it'll completely fill it back up in about 2 hours. The capacity of this machine is such that I don't believe that I'll ever be without ice. I like that I can see the level of the refill tank, at a glance, to assure that it doesn't run low.

The ice is made quickly and is perfect. Only down side is the cleaning process since i have hard water. That has been fixed by me buying large bottled waters.

Great ice maker I wish I still kept it but unfortunately I returned it. Very heavy but liked the small ice function

Great machine. Easy to use and install. I used another counter top ice maker, and it would struggle to make ice. The Opal is amazing and well worth the premium price. Even though it has no refrigeration, I still have ice in the container 12 hours after I turn it off. You won’t regret the purchase.

This was a great purchase! My water line for my fridge was across the kitchen so instead of running it through the entire kitchen and making a mess, I decided to get this and it has been great. Friends also call out the "sonic" ice they get to have when they are over. Also doesn't take up a lot of room.

On the plus side, this makes the best ice! But straight out of the box it made a squeaking noise, which later turned into squeal, then a scream. I sent it back before the warranty ran out and they sent me a new one. Again right out of the box it did the same thing. Then started leaking water. GE couldn’t help because the warranty already ran out on the original one. Finally ended up throwing it away. Maybe I just got a couple of lemons.

We use the heck out of this. Probably put 1.5 gallons of water through it per day. Yes, it does make a little noise. We tucked it next to refrigerator so it's not out in the open. Love the ice. My wife will never be without one now. My only complaint is how often I have to refill it.

I haven't had it for long but so far it's been great. The ice is closer to commercial nugget ice than I was expecting. It's a bit larger but very uniform and has a great texture. Ice is made consistently and stays frozen. We love it. All of the people who made fun of me for spending this much on a ice machine are coming around.

Good product overall. Only gripe is it is pretty loud when making ice. But there are ways to avoid by only running at certain times and/or storing some of the ice in your freezer.

Greatest ice machine ever. A little expensive but worth the money.

Pricey but makes great small ice like a restaurant and easy set up.

Love this ice maker! Just like Sonic ice and it’s everything and more that you could want in a ice maker. I did buy mine as an open box. It was just like new. The only that I would suggest, is to ask for the paperwork that comes in a new box item. Because I got zero paperwork.
