Great machine for a short time

I have purchased 3 of them in the last 4 years. About 14 months is all you are going to get out of it (just outside of the warranty). I clean it with vinegar once a month and use nothing but bottled water in it but it still doesn’t last longer than 14 months. Sadly, I am going to try a different brand on the next purchase.

Took it back in a week. i exchanged it and the second one just would not make ice very fast. Instead of 1 lb. per hour, it was about 3 lbs. a day. Took it back and tried for a third time. This one is working better, but still not as advertised. It is supposed to make 1 lb. per hour, I get about 1 lb. per 3 hours, so it is much slower that anticipated and advertised. I really love the ice, so I am going to live with it, (at least for a while). I think the newer 2.0 is a problem. My Brother has the original and has had no problems. apparently new and improved is not always true.
