    Filter should be included bc the stores do not sale or have them in stock. But my wife loves it!

    I love it but unfortunately after a few month it starts making weird sounds and goes into add water mode when tank is full. I do have warranty so i exchanged it for another thinking mine eas defective but had same problems. Im on my 3rd opal and it keeps making the same strange noises and keeps going into add water mode. GE really needs to take a look at this product.

    nope. no. just no. lasted 8 months before it bought the farm. massive internal failure. sadly this is still better than the other brands. wait for a *massive* sale and get it then. maintaining the thing is also a massive pain.

    Quiet machine. Extra tank has been nice. Had the insignia brand pellet ice maker and it's not even close how much better this machine is.

    Sad that you charge this much for such a junky product. This is the 3rd one we’ve had. 1st one would turn on. Second made it just out of warranty and then started making a constant screeching noise. This one lasted 2 months and sounds like machine gun fire or it’s about to throw a rod.

    Love it! I would buy it again. It takes about an hour to fill up with ice. I use the app to start making the ice before I get home

    Defective design and GE knows it. The fan is not powerful enough to properly chill. So, it overworks until it dies. Died in less than 1 year.

    My girlfriend love it got it for as a gift due to her being a ice eater the only thing we don’t like is it takes for ever to get full

    The side tank separates from the main part of the ice maker. It's too loud & not worth the money.

    I was so excited about getting this. I Bought this icemaker and returned it 24 hours later. It makes a loud grinding noise that is not normal. After looking at other reviews, I can see that they have a huge problem for such an expensive item.

    The GE Opal countertop ice maker has ended up being a fluke. After about a month of use, it began saying “add water” after pulling all The water in the tank into the internal reservoir and subsequently producing no ice. I wish I would have purchased a protecting plan now. Other than that, the ice it does produce is as advertised and the machine is fairly easy to use and clean.

    It’s been 3 months? It stopped working. Cleaned and descaled regularly but crapped out

    Love the ice, the problem is the side tank can be connected and it says add water, when you add water, it then goes in to defrost mode so it never runs "nonstop". I dont use the side tank because it can be full and tells me to "add water". Every time it says add water (although it's full) it goes in to defrost mode. I have followed the manuals, contacted GE cleaned the unit, drained the unit and still no luck. Returning today.

    Do not waste your money. After about 9 months it started making an awful screaching noise and GE was 0 help. I wish I would have read the reviews before I bought this. Very disappointed

    Can I give it a zero stars for being the most disappointing purchase? When it works, it’s great! We love the nugget ice. But it only works for a few weeks, and then it stops. Best Buy has been great to replace with a new one, but we are now on our third and final one. We can’t keep doing this. So frustrating!

    Love the ice maker when it worked. This is the second one we purchased. Both barely made it a year before they quit working. Expensive piece of JUNK

    I ordered it and somehow it got returned because it was damaged. I have yet to recieve my rewards certificates back yet so i can order something else. Im sure it is a good product. Just wasnt able to find out.
