    Got this as a Christmas gift for my wife. She loves it. Not too loud. Just make sure you have the counter space for it. Definitely recommend if you are a nugget ice lover. It will reduce the cups of chic fila ice in my freezer lol.

    Bought it open box. It was listed as Excellent condition. However it was missing the bottom tray. Other than that, the ice maker works as new.

    Had my og machine for a year then it died. Turned it in a went through 4 machines within 1 month before this loud noise starts. Then get new machine and it lasted 6 months returned to qeek squad now it had to be sent in for repair (policy change)and now best buy had this machine for 4 weeks with no info so stay away from the machine and geek squad. Toatal rip off.

    Great Ice Maker!

    It was a hit Christmas present for my wife who loves ice from Sonic. Easy set up and had ice in about 15 minutes. It kept up with a house full of guest during the holidays.

    I really didn't think I needed an ice maker, but I ended up with this model and I totally love it. It has been very reliable, never any problems. I was worried at first about how noisy it would be but was happy to discover it was no worse than the ice maker in my fridge.

    Buy once. Cry once. Tried other ice machines in a lower price range. And ended up returning 2 for issues. Finally bit the bullet and bought this one. Best one of the all 3 I’ve tried. So don’t skimp. Just buy the opal and be done.

    The product is great. The family loves the ice. It’s amazing. As for Best Buy, they are the worst run company in history. Buy this from anybody but them.

    I like i've seen so many times on this page already have had a terrible experience with this overpriced counter appliance. Its almost verbatim what others have said, right at the year mark of ownership it started leaking it seems from every possible crack in the housing panels. It will end up once dried like calcium deposits covering the bottom seam of the panels. I have took this apart many times, the most recent time i replaced all the tubing inside the unit, which i would recommend since they get coated with the sludge/mildew slime. I use the cleaner regularly too. Even with the new tubing and upgrading the small spring clamps it finds ways to leak, which with any fluid will happen. I love what the icemaker produces, and i dont rely only on this one - i have a samsung bespoke with dual ice makers already; just wish this product would be quality built and last!

    Really like it. The only thing is when I hooked up the side tank, it vibrates against the ice maker so, I finally took it off. Other than that. I love it.

    Buyer Beware Rusted Out After 18 Months Leaked

    Buyer beware we purchased this 18 months ago and it leaked all over our wood floors from the bottom screws. It rusted out which makes no sense they take short cuts in something that make ice and for food safety and quality. We called them and they said no support or warranty. That’s cool because I will never buy another GE product again. We should have listed to the other bad reviews on this product. Best Buy should not support a company that doesn’t stand behind their products. This is a poor reflect on of your purchasing department to allow this defective product to be sold. There is plenty of issues out there to take action.

    A Costly Mistake: When Premium Turns to Junk

    Bought the Opal Pebble ice maker thinking I was investing in the best on the market. Sadly, just a couple of years in and it's kaput. It's stuck in an endless defrost cycle and, despite my best efforts with online solutions, it just won't cooperate. Extremely disappointed and frustrated. To top it off, the manufacturer offers zero help since it's just outside the one-year warranty. Essentially, I've got a pricey piece of junk on my hands. My advice? Go for a cheaper option. That way, if it gives up on you after a few years, it won't sting as much when you toss it. I wouldn't recommend this product.
