Love this ice machine a lot. It’s like having Sonic ice at home. It is important to use filtered water for the reservoir bc over time hard water build up causes it to make ice very loudly. I recommend the protection plan as I had to use it once. It is very nice to fill reservoir and come back and ice is ready all the time.

Awesome ice maker. I purchased this for the chewy ice that you get at some restaurants and it does not disappoint in both quality and volume. Great capacity for it's size and looks very nice to boot!

Love the uce it IS the GOOD ice. Bit for 600.00 this thing should not leak water out of the drawer when you open it and the noise...oh no when it decrosts and screechea at you til you wanna leave the room!!!

This is an awesome product!! I am In love with it!!! Exceeded my expectations!! Easy to set up and use. I run it once a week and bag quart ziplocs of ice for the other days. If you lie them flat they stack nicely in the freezer and break apart easily.

Works perfectly. Small nuggets of ice. Perfect size to fit for the counter space in my kitchen.

Purchased this ice maker as an anniversary gift for my wife. I dont think there is anything better that i could have gotten her. She loves crushed ice from the store and this ice maker is as close as youll get. She absolutely loves it.

It makes ice very slowly, not enough to keep up with my family’s needs. The reservoir doesn’t work great even though I followed all instructions and set it up as directed. Also, it makes a TERRIBLE sound that is very loud. It’s so loud my dog barks at it angrily as if it’s the vacuum. The nugget ice is nice, and I like the UV cleaning button but it is no where worth the price. I had an ice machine prior to this that I got off Amazon for $100 and I would probably just buy that one again if I had the option. Due to the price I am now stuck with this one for a while.

This icemaker is definitely an investment, but it’s worth every penny. Even if you don’t love sonic ice this ice is awesome and I really don’t like any other ice cubes anymore.

We purchased our Opal 2.0 a month or so ago, and have loved it. Truth be told... we purchased one of the original Opals when it was a Kickstarter project, and had it plugged in, making ice, every day for 6 years. What happened to it? I think our hard water killed it. Why buy another one? Opal ice is just.that.great! Spendy? Perhaps... but it's great ice, and great to have all.the.time.

It’s great when it works, but it’s a pain to keep running. I’d say you should expect it to last about 2 years. The machine often has problems restarting after it’s been cleaned. I recommended it with these caveats. Pro tip: use only distilled water to keep scale from building which might extend its life.

This product is simple to setup and make ice very quick. Unit is quite and modern looking. Thanks

After our Samsung refrigerators ice maker died, we needed something for our family of 5 and often family gatherings and this has provided just that. We originally bought a smaller ice maker but it never kept up with our family needs. We are able to fill 3 32oz hydroflask bottles in the morning when the kids are off to school. Makes the best crunchy ice. Very happy with this purchase.

I love my ice machine! makes ice quickly. i think the tank (where the ice is kept) may need to stay colder. i think overnight it melts a little because when i wake up it is making ice when we have not used any ice. But other than that i love my ice machine!!

Made good ice and a lot of ice. Just had to exchange because of clicking noise that was obnoxious.

If you like the ice from Sonic then you will love this thing. Its used so much my only gripe is I wish the water container was a lot bigger. Yes its a little pricey but having non stop nugget ice day in and day out is nice. It produces enough ice to even keep up with get togethers as long as you keep the water container full.

After wanting a nugget icemaker for years, I finally caved and bought this model thinking the high price would equate to great quality. Sadly that wasn’t so. When the new ice is fresh, it’s good. But the storage compartment isn’t insulated well enough to keep it in that shape for long. The ice melts together and becomes quite watery. I was willing to overlook this shortcoming until the noise started. After four months of using this icemaker it started making an excruciatingly loud noise. Completely unbearable, made me want to gouge my eardrums. Returned for a store credit.

I've had this machine for about 3 weeks and its great. I mean the fridge that makes ice like this would be better but that's not in my budget. The ice is soft and crunchy. It also is good for making fruit smoothies, frozen daquiris and frozen margaritas.
