Just like Sonic ice and it’s everything and more that you could want in a ice maker. I did buy mine as an open box. It was just like new. The only that I would suggest, is to ask for the paperwork that comes in a new box item. Because I got zero paperwork.

This is a game changer! We love this pellet ice and it works great. We haven’t had to buy anymore bags of ice since getting this and it is always replenishing the ice. You do have to fill the reservoir with water, but that is no big deal.

I put a sound meter on the counter beside it and it measured at 73 dB. It is loud to the point that it makes having a conversation in the kitchen difficult.

Works as you would expect and have had no issue the only thing is the cleaning but you get used to it.

Its perfect ice for my drinks since its been over 100 degrees for three weeks. Its easy to use and love that i can set a schedule to have ice freshly made when I get home.

Posted .Hi, and thanks for reviewing – we’re so glad you’re loving your Opal! We do regret that you’re not always able to use the side tank, and we know this must be concerning. If the side tank is installed but water won’t flow from it to the icemaker, there may be an air bubble in the line. You might want to check that the hoses are connected properly and lying flat. You can adjust the tubes by lifting the tank from the icemaker and raising it 4 to 5 inches until water starts to flow, then putting the tank back in position. Its nice that I can stock pile it in the freezer to use for ice chests later as well. The only downside I see to this is the ice is still wet when it comes out of the machine. We have to put it in the freezer to get it ice cold.

But there are ways to avoid by only running at certain times and/or storing some of the ice in your freezer.

Profile 2.0 is much quieter better built better softer chewable ice than the rest. Don’t waste your money on other models

Love Our Nugget Ice Maker!

So addicted to this that since getting it we only use this and stopped using our regular cubes. A definite purchase that is worth it.. but make sure to get the BB extended plan in case this investment goes down. Highly enjoy the nugget ice!!

It's worth connecting it to the SmartHQ app. It allows you to set up a daily on/off schedule. I've had it tell me to "Add Water" a few times even though the reservoir had water in it. Caused by an air bubble trapped in the tube from the reservoir. Just have to make sure the tube is flat. I still give it 5 stars.
