I am enjoying this ice machine. I love the sonic ice. It is so easy to use.

Bought last August. Worked fine until October when it started showing add water. I had a full tank. I kept unplugging it for 30 minutes then plugged it back in and aftet awhile same thing happened. I called GE and they won't do anything. For what I paid for this machine, it should have lasted longer than 3 months. I won't buy another GE product again. I have read other people that have the same problem.

The ice maker is great! Be warned though after a week it started making noises- either grinding sounds or something that sounds like a cat. GE says it takes some time for it to break in- on week 3 so we shall see. If it doesn’t improve I plan on exchanging it.

Great purchase. Already knew about the ice maker by using the one my daughter has in her home! Produces fantastic ice that is easy to chew? Couldn’t wait until I returned home to get one of my own! Everything from ordering on-line, to pickup in the parking lot of my local store went smoothly! Very courteous employee brought it to my vehicle with a smile. Highly recommend this ice maker!

This is enough ice for our family of 4. We put extra ice in a ziplock bag in the freezer for when we have other people over. We have had an opal ice machine since they were first available to pre-order through crowdfunding. This is only our 2nd machine. We absolutely love it! Just be sure to run the cleaning cycles, even if you use filtered water. It greatly extended our first machine’s lifespan.

There is no better ice! A little noisy and definitely pricey or it would get 5 stars. Highly recommend if you can stomach the price.

Love it a lot makes eyes right away easy to clean holds the ice well no need to remove it from the bin has an app to set schedule when to make ice or to stop making ice. The app is a little buggy but still works

Love the ice maker. Second one I have owned. First one lasted about 2-2-1/2 years so buy the extended warranty. Makes great ice

I have been looking for an ice maker that makes the “good” ice & I finally found it in the ice maker. It is easy to use & makes all of the ice that I need without even using the reserve tank. I highly recommend it.

I love the ice machine. Fantastic for our highly active home when the fridge's ice machine alone isn't enough volume to keep up. We have experienced one issue - one of the bearings in the machine has started to squeak/squeal. We are going through the exchange process to get a new one. Highly reccomend the machine, but would rather be honest about the performance issue after only 8 months of regular use.

Nice size, fits my counter top nicely. Easy to set up and use. Highly recommend

Amaizng ice maker. Sometime it makes weird noises after working for a few days but i defrost it and fixes the issue. Still makes super clean and clear ice

Bought this for my Mom because she LOVES ice and especially the nugget ice. She raves about it and says it was the best gift we could buy her! It fits on her countertop nicely and doesn’t require a water line.

Love this little thing!!!very costly but worth the money if you can afford it don’t waste your money on cheap knock offs

I would love to be able to say this machine is great, but on my second one, all I can say is this is a very finicky machine. For the money, this should be fairly maintenance free and reliable. My first one died after two years making a howling sound like you wouldn't believe. Google the machine and noise, you'll see plenty of complaints. Thankfully, and thanks to Best Buy, I had an extended warranty, so out with the old, and in with a new one. I figured after two years, they would have refined the manufacturing and engineering and come up with a better product. Nope. Less than three days out of the box, occasionally you get a dying animal sound that will wake you up. I don't expect this one to last very long, and in fact, I may just return it this weekend to avoid the rush. Props to the Best Buy extended warranty for making this an easier decision. For the money, I would buy six countertop ones which will likely last a hell of a lot longer. May not be as chewable, but will work to cool your drinks. Good luck, YMMV.

Although I’ve only had it a month, this ice machine is so superior to any others that I have tried. It is so quiet and makes perfect ixe. I have discovered that using distilled water seems to make it run so much smoother so I’m hoping for less problems with the maintenance also.

Little noisy while making ice but I’ve is worth the noise! Matches my black stainless Samsung fridge perfectly. As Ice melts in storage bin it reuses water to make more ice. Cool feature in my opinion

Great machine! We had another nugget ice make for about 6 months, it broke twice. This one is very well built, quiet. The ice bin stays full, easy to use, connects to your phone. Wry happy with it!!!

Noisy/Loud, takes very few “breaks” and seems to run almost around the clock; requires sanitizing and/or descaling often…too often…and the process of sanitizing and descaling is extremely tedious, time consuming, and inefficient if not ineffective. Lots of vinegar, bleach required. Unit is very heavy and difficult to carry or move when cleaning. Wife loves the final product (nugget size ice) but we’ve had it just under 1 year and it has started making a terribly loud/new sound, like the motor or “guts” are on their last leg. Would definitely not recommend for the nearly $600 price! GE had this product made overseas somewhere; it shows!
