I have a smaller ice maker in my basement but this one i have in my kitchen. It makes ice so much quicker and i love the size of small chunks it makes. Its a little loud at times but not always. Definitely recommend this item.

This is our second as the first quit working and was replaced with this unit. I like our ice when it’s working properly, but I doubt I would buy this again.

If you like nugget ice this will fit the bill. I am using Primo bottled water out of a machine (RO), so hopefully the required maintenance will not be as gruesome as others have noted. I do like iced coffee in the warm months and nugget ice is not appropriate. Melts instantly. Only been used about a dozen times, but so far so good. I would reconsider spending the $$$.

Nice ice, but makes horrible sound

This does not happen all of the time, but fairly often. We returned the first unit we purchased and got a second one. The second one makes the exact same sound. We previously had an older model of this unit, and it quit making ice after a couple of years.

BEST ice machine EVER

This is the GOOD ice, chewable, small nuggets. A must get if you like ice in all your drinks or just like eating the ice.

The key is to start the ice maker about an hour before to allow for production.
