I needed this for a party. It worked great. Starts producing ice in a few minutes and keeps making it as you take it out.

I loved this product up until it didn’t last after only 4 months and to be honest it’s too expensive to not last. The maintenance for the product is also a lot. I’m glad I always purchase geek squad protection because it definitely came in handy this time. I returned it today with no issues and bought a less expensive version.

This is our third ice maker and no. 2 from GE. Last one died from the discharge cone motor dying. The new filter should help with scale build up and it has better reminders for sanitizing and descaling. The fan in the back is bigger and louder.

Love that you can schedule when it turns on and off. We had the prior model and this model produces more crunchable ice. Very pleased with the purchase.

Great Machine!! East to set up and makes ice very quickly!

I LOVE this ice maker, but it stopped making ice after just 2 months. It says to "add water", but it clearly is filled with water. I'm on hold with GE now. I'm sure they will rectify the situation.

Beautiful works really great!! Gives me the best ice I could ever ask for without having to go to a restaurant and purchasing a bag.

The Opal 2 ultra is an improvement over the older Opal 2. Still not overly quiet but it is on par with ice machines so buyer beware you are getting what you are paying for. The ice is slightly less dense, but this is actually nicer for people who like to chew the ice and if you don't why are you spending or thinking of spending this kind of money on a specialty ice machine. Overall, I love it and well worth the money. The cleaning schedule is a necessary evil, so if you don't want to clean it, get a different type of ice machine.

Absolutely love this ice machine! Soft chewable ice just like you get from Sonic! Runs pretty quiet, and keeps the ice drawer full. The side tank is so nice and has a magnet to hold it in place but removes easily to refill. The scoop with magnetic holder is nice because I can position it anywhere I want and any angle. Has an app you can use to control The unit if you’d like it. Highly recommend using mineral water in it to keep mineral deposits from forming in the lines. Makes cleaning it alot easier and less often. One of the best purchases I’ve made in a long time.

Great little ice maker. I love the nugget ice. Makes ice quickly. There is regular maintenance but very easy to do and it keeps the ice tasting fresh. I always use distilled water in the ice maker. The app keeps you up on the maintenance which is convenient. I highly recommend this nugget ice maker.

Great buy! Easy to set up and no issues so far. It is not noisy, functions perfectly and makes great ice.

It functions well, with the exception of periodically it makes the "whining" noise. Based on research this ice maker makes that noise when the ice gets jammed up in the despenser. This would be the second one that I'm going to take back, due I can't take the whining noise and having to shut it off so the ice can defrost and turning it back on.

I had one previously for about 4-5 years and loved it so much when it stopped working I purchased my second one. After a few hiccups with my second purchase of this product all has been great. The only thing that I am not crazy about is that the hose that goes from the unit to the side tank is a dark color now. I clean it every 4 to 6 weeks since I use filtered water and I used to watch that hose to make sure there were not any particles floating around. If I saw anything I would clean it early. Now you can’t see anything since the hose is dark. Other than that I love this product. The best thing GE makes in my opinion.

Run and buy this ice maker!! The nugget ice is the best!! We couldn't decide which ice maker to buy but im extremely happy we decided for this one. Very quiet always has ice ready. One of the best parts is we can control it with our phone so when we get home from a hot day the ice is ready to have a refreshing drink.

I bought this for my Daugher for a Christmas gift and it stoped working after a few weeks! They called Best Buy and they said they needed to call the company. It’s been a bunch of crap. So don’t buy it from Best Buy!!!

Great Ice maker! Little steep on the price but totally worth it. Easier to drink water.
