But this one is hands down so much better. Upgrades include a metal scoop, magnetic holder fir the scoop, water filter, a filter for the cooling fan, and an illuminated reminder to sanitize the unit every 25 hours of run time. Keeps you honest on maintenance. Setup is easy. Seems like ice making has speeded up. Lesson learned from my old unit, USE DISTILLED WATER! I absolutely love this updated unit. The Wifi setup is even easier to do now. Well done GE.

Worst product ever - buyer beware

We let the machine rest for 24 hours and tried again but after only a quarter of the bin being full it let out that whine and stopped again. Won't get a replacement as other reviews have stated the results.
