Best ice machine ever. We love it and its actually easier to maintain and clean than i thought it would be. I have already recommended this to several family members

It's been a fantastic purchase! We were on vacation in Santa Rosa Beach Florida. We had sixteen people staying at the rental house. The ice maker in the refrigerator was terrible. We ran out and bought the Opal 2.0 Ultra. It worked like a champ out of the box and it is being used in our kitchen right now. Great product!

So far, this has been a wonderful addition to my home. The ice is made quickly, easily, and is great quality. Main drawbacks for me are cost and some concerns on longevity.

I had three other countertop ice machines this one by far is the best it looks very classy. I had the 1.0 nugget ice maker it did break. They honored the Warenty put the difference in and got this one. It's a little pricey, but very nice be prepared to have to clean it every week

I like the ice maker, it works great! The only reason for giving 4 star in place of 5 is because I went round and round (over 30 mins) with the silly call center while trying to get in contact with my local store. (And they still didn’t help me). The foreign, barely-speak-English call center is a joke and not helpful whatsoever. They just keep transferring you off to someone else. The ice maker is great though.

We bought this Opal 2.0 Ultra Ice Maker as a gift for our son, after owning and being very pleased with the same ice maker for both our permanent residence and our second home. So, this is the third Opal 2.0 Ultra Ice machine we have purchased. To be sure, the scale inhibiting filter will need to be replaced every month or so, and proper sanitization and cleaning is simply a fact of life with these machines. We always use tap water to make ice. We make sure to clean and sanitize the unit and replace the filter on a monthly basis. I went ahead and bought the 4 year extended maintenance plan offered by BestBuy for each of the machines..."just in case", but have never had to use that service. Bottom line is that this Opal 2.0 Ultra Ice Machine is probably the most used appliance in our kitchen and is definitely the most popular appliance with our guests...All of our visiting friends have LOVED it! Go ahead and buy one, you (and your friends) won't regret it!

Love my ice machine! 2nd one! Only drawback is that you have to sanitize about every 2 weeks...my other ice machine did not have this feature.

I am extremely pleased with this ice maker. It produces consistently perfect ice every time, and it has proven to be well worth the investment. The included metal ice scoop, along with the convenient side attachment, is a thoughtful addition—no more searching for the scoop, as it now hangs neatly in plain view. Overall, an excellent product. All I can say is: ICE, ICE, BABY!

I had one previously for about 4-5 years and loved it so much when it stopped working I purchased my second one. After a few hiccups with my second purchase of this product all has been great. The only thing that I am not crazy about is that the hose that goes from the unit to the side tank is a dark color now. I clean it every 4 to 6 weeks since I use filtered water and I used to watch that hose to make sure there were not any particles floating around. If I saw anything I would clean it early. Now you can’t see anything since the hose is dark. Other than that I love this product. The best thing GE makes in my opinion.

Incredible ice, chewable, fast to fill. Supported a 15 person party at my house with no issue. Pretty loud. Timer and wifi is magical! We wake up to perfect iced coffee ice.

I loved this product up until it didn’t last after only 4 months and to be honest it’s too expensive to not last. The maintenance for the product is also a lot. I’m glad I always purchase geek squad protection because it definitely came in handy this time. I returned it today with no issues and bought a less expensive version.

Perfect ice! The machine needs to be sanitized every week, the process is easy but can seem tedious. I personally like the reminder so I know there’s not mold/bacteria build up, which was a problem I had with the smaller ice machines. Ice is made quickly!

The upgrades are nice, but there's a glitch with the software stating I need to descale it after 3 days. Then whenever you do have to descale it..you have to let it sit for 18 hours! You also have the choice of placing a filter inside which is an extra cost. Do I recommend it.. kinda?

I have done a lot of research on this particular ice maker snd decided to purchase it on a whim. I have yet to regret that decision.

This isnt really a review, nobody ever wins the $400 its just a ploy to get good reviews on their items so people will buy them more

Absolutely love the machine. This is my second. The only downfall is the new machines do automatically signal you to clean it which is generally about every other week.

Love it. I like to chew ice, and my wife made me purchase an icemaker that has the soft chewable ice to protect my teeth. This thing is awesome. I love the ice texture and it’s perfect for every drink I have. Definitely by the side tank with it because you’ll be refilling it a lot if you don’t.

Have enjoyed this ice since I plugged it in. It does not take long to fill up with Ice and to keep it full.

Great ice maker! I have a smaller ice maker in my basement but this one i have in my kitchen. It makes ice so much quicker and i love the size of small chunks it makes. Its a little loud at times but not always. Definitely recommend this item.
