Ive had my Nugget for 9 months and im obsessed! No issues whatsoever and we have nice, frozen, chewable, perfect ice cubes at all times of the day. Theres an app that pairs with the nugget so you can set the time you want the machine to turn on and off daily. Im obsessed!

That’s atleast what my girl said. Set up instructions were a little unclear to me. Understood the basics from the manual, but would be nice to have an official set up video. Found a random guy set up video, but he even ran into some problems. Maintaining/cleaning is excessive to me, atleast for this price. Recommends sanitizing, rinsing and draining 4 times per week and to use distilled water. Seems like a lot of wasted water and time to do that many times for ice. Other than that, it does make great ice and has been going strong for a week now.

Ice is high quality and abundant. Only draw back is the unit keeps asking to be sanitized after we have only used for less than a month and already have sanitized it twice.

This is very loud, in my experience, and feels like there's not much ice, well, as a person who really likes these pebble ice. Love the ice though. When first setting it up and reading all the directions, this item seems to be a high maintenance ice maker and just going to make me frustrated overtime. Overall, without all the other issues, the ice is pretty great, but would not recommend this.

We have been looking for an ice machine for about a year. After all of our research we decided to get the ge opal. I will say it has exceeded our expectations and is definitely worth the price of the machine for the amount of ice we go through on a daily basis.

Bought this for my wife for Christmas. She's always wanted a nugget ice maker. This one is awesome and well built. Loads of capacity and makes ice fast. Cleaning process isn't too hard and keeps ice nice and fresh tasting. We love the light and the extra storage tank is super easy to fill. The magnetically attached scoop holder and scoop can be placed anywhere on the side of the unit. Love this thing!

Works great. Love it!! You will have ice in less then 15 minutes. Only down side is that is is a bit noisy

Dont use the filter. Like a dummy, I tried even though the lable has every thing known to human kind to be toxic. It made the water taste horrible. It works fine without it. Other wise I like the ice it makes.

Have had this ice maker for years and love the nugget ice. I have had no problems with it. I like it so much that I ended up buying a second one for my mom.

It makes great ice in timely manner. The only inconvenience is it requires cleaning often.

This is my 3rd GE Profile. Thank the heavens for the geek squad protection plans because i havent had one of these last over 3 years. That being said, they are better than the other ice makers on the market. I love ice, much like Sven, ice is my life. However, this new model produces more slush than ice. Its a difficult balance to have “soft” ice but also not have it instantly melt when you pour a drink. Last models have done a great job, but this one is just bad. If you pour a room temp drink into the “ice”, it nearly melts everything instanlty so you are left with a watered down drink. I know have to ensure i plan drinks well in advance so I get the satisfaction of a super cold drink that is still flavorful.

Ice is great, I like that I can use filtered water in it. Maintaining it is a bit annoying, have to take it to the sink drain it and run vinegar through it for a while to get it back running well.

Works great! Easy to set up. Easy to clean. Totally worth it.

Delivers exactly what it advertises. Good, crunchy ice pellets. Great for all sorts of drinks. The kids are making "dirty sodas" and parents are using it daily for iced coffee. The side container is helpful, because it does go through water quickly. Not sure I'd pay full price, but with significant a Black Friday sale, the value was much better.
