Good microwave with all the standard features, but the noise of the fan makes it impossible to recommend. The fan runs whenever it is in use and cannot be turned off. The fan even kicks on when the range is used below and will stay on for a long time if you have cooked under the microwave.

It is very loud when operating. The fan is loud and it vibrates when in use. This is when the exhaust fan is off! When using both the microwave and the exhaust fan at the same time it really limits the discussion in the room until it is done.

After 6 months, the door handle just shattered. Had one yr. warranty, but GE said it was cosmetic, and would charge me $250 to replace door. It only cost $160. After 13 months, the control panel started operating on it's on. It cost $170 to replace that part. Of course, after the 12 mo. warranty expired. I could go on with other problems, but you get the point. STAY AWAY FROM GE PRODUCTS.

This model came with my brand new home. One year and two months later, it quit. Kaput. Dead. I have never in my life ever had a microwave break, so I'm really really surprised. It's half the cost of a new microwave just to have a GE tech come out and diagnose what's wrong. Couldn't get an estimate on what possible labor and parts charges would be. Don't waste your money on this model. Appliances should not give up after barely a year.

not even 18 months, magnatron has died. Light works, fan works, turntable spins, but no cooking. GE customer service is trained to do one thing: upsell repairs that cost more a new product. They do not troubleshoot, they are not there to help. They are there to sell. When I called customer service, they were friendly enough, and very slick. Scheduled an appointment without telling me any of the terms. When I called back, and asked specific questions, then I learned it would be $100 just to schedule a 'diagnosis visit' If you need repairs, this $100 fee is not deducted from the repair total. Then, there is parts and labor cost. The GE customer service rep refused to quote me the cost of the magnatron, or the estimated labor cost. Wouldn't say how much work was involved, wouldn't tell me what the part cost, and refused to escalate me to a supervisor. When I insisted, the rep hung up on me and I was too angry to call back again. Never, ever again. I will never buy another GE product, ever. Are you listening GE?

I would think twice about buying this microwave. I went for it because of the GE brand and price. It is six months old and now starts running when you open the door. It is still under the 12 month GE warrantee and they are sending someone out it 4 days to look at it. They said they would either replace it or fix it, we'll see. If I had to guess they will fix it and then the problem will resurface after the warrantee expires. :(

Sad that we purchased 14 mos ago but just got around to installing 6mos ago and it has died. But since it is now out of manufacturer warranty, all costs are out of pocket. Avoid this brand, it is defective. The heating tube is out, the table turns and all other functions work but it won't heat your food items.

Great little micro. installs easy. very quite. has plenty of cooking options .

Looks great in my kitchen, easy to use...still learning all the shortcuts.

This purchase was a surprise for my wife and she loves it. The microwave is very simple to use, even my eight year old can cook anything he wants to in it. The unit is lightweight and easy to install. It is large enough that it will of course require 2 people to install. We are very happy with the purchase.

This is a very good unit for the price point. I would recommend having it professionally installed.

This microwave heats really well. However, the motor is so incredibly loud even when the vent is turned off. The microwave vibrates the entire time it is in use, but it is really bad when it first starts up. I never use the vent as it sounds like a 747 is landing in my kitchen. Not a good choice in microwaves. Spend a few extra dollars and get a better model.

Product heated only internittently starting on the 2nd day. Service was scheduled for one week later. One week later service verified it didn't work, but didn't have part so he rescheduled for the next week. Part never arrived so they canceled me amd stated to call them when the part finally arrived. Hopefully it's not too late to return it to Best buy for full refund.

The microwave looks great in our kitchen and cooks the food well so my complaints are minor. However, we were unable to test the microwave out first and are surprised by how noisy it really is. Also, I like to press the +30 sec button and with this microwave you can not press it right away you have to wait a short time before you can add the 30 seconds.

Good product for the money. Easy to install. Completed installation in one and a half hours.

We purchased this microwave as a replacement to one that we had for many years. It cooks evenly, matches our white appliances wonderfully and was easy to hook up. We are very happy with the price we paid and the outcome of our purchase :).

this is the 3rd unit of this model that I have owned. The first one last 6 years. The second only 15 months. Recommend getting service plan.

This has been such a wonderful microwave. The microwave that was over our stove went out, and we replaced it with this GE/Stainless, and it was the best choice for our entire family! It has many great features that you would normally only get from a higher end model. Great product at an even Greater price!

We have had this microwave for 2.5 years. Came home today and the key pad has shorted out and needs service. Parts and $69.99 visit alone is more than the unit and this is before we pay labor. My father worked for GE for 37 years and we have been loyal to the brand. No More! I will take my chances on another brand.
