The Gear VR is a pretty cool gadget for watching movies and all other VR apps. The occasional overhearing was a problem but doesn't happen all that frequently.

Just love this thing My wife tried it and was trying to run away from an Elephant thinking she was actually there and My one year old son was really trying to touch the Brontosaurus and kiss I love it I recommend it this Item.

We bought this item as one of our sons Christmas gifts. Wow want a fun and cool item. He loves it. It is over the top action when using the VR. Try it and you will buy it. .

I really enjoy the Samsung Oculous VR headset the only downside there's no way to charge your device while using it. Overall awesome to use very user friendly.

Enjoyed this device and the graphics are fantastic. The phone gets warm sometimes, but has not hindered performance so far. I would recommend it for beginners.

The concept and immersion is good but i was expecting more clarity.I had a question about the image quality. You plug your phone into it and in less then 5 or 10 minutes you have to take it out cause it over heats super fast

Enjoyed feeling like I was sitting in a movie theate, riding on a dirt bike, and swimming with sharks. Just wish they'd make more free apps that work with it.

Cool effects great price. Just wish phone didn't get hot so fast during a movie.. so it will shut off until your phone cools down only flaw overall I love it

It's virtual reality, a great experience for the senses. A great addition for the phone for watching movies or playing games it's as if you are right there.

I thought that the VR Gear would be a cool tech toy, but had no idea that I would love it as much as I do.....Definitely recommend.

I caught these vr's while they was on sell, so that's a good deal, because $100 is a little bit too costly for these, do defiantly happy about that. I had everyone of the gear vr's by Samsung so they pretty much what I expected. I only got these because mines wasn't no longer compatible with the note7, but overall it a great buy for $80 and a must have if you have a compatible phone, but not worth $100, so if you are reading this review now, I suggest that you order one now while they are on sell.

This thing is awesome! Just remember it only works with certain phones and make sure yours is one of them. Other than that, it does what it sets out to do, very well.

I like it the only problem is that it gets hot really quick and you have to turn the phone off to cool down.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I put this on. I was blown away! No matter where I looked, there was something to see. I checked out the undersea video. There were bubbles going up as if I was there using scuba gear. You can interact with the fish. You can use your eyes to choose something. Then I went to Netflix. I was expecting just a screen. Instead I was sitting in what seemed like a log cabin. The movie played on a TV on the wall. It was an amazing experience. Inserting the phone was easy. You just have to make sure you connect it properly in the headset. Setup wasn't a total breeze. You have to connect phone to headset so they "pair". Then remove phone and download the VR Gear program. Once that's done, you're all set to enter the virtual world where everything seems to be in 3D. Using the controller on the side takes a little getting used to. I didn't find the headset to be uncomfortable to wear for an extended period of time. All your apps are stored in the Library on your phone in the Oculus app. There's a huge assortment of apps you can download for a fee or free and you can do this without being attached to the headset. Since I got this for free when I pre-ordered my S7 Edge, I think I still would've payed for this amazing, fun-filled virtual experience. It's the next thing in gaming & watching movies. Try it, then buy it!

Goggles fits nicely but what you see with your eyes will amaze you! S6 edge runs hot too much! Would be nice if it had a fan built in to cool the phone!

Takes some getting used to. Phone seems to get very hot fairly quickly. Need some sort of cooling feature.

Virtual Reality in the Gear VR is amazing. This product is worth it for Netflix alone. The experience is hard to explain...you just have to experience it and you're hooked. Sports and other live events such as debates are equally awe inspiring. I would definitely recommend this product. Downsides are for intense applications, phone gets too hot and content is interrupted if not connected to a power source, and sometimes it takes a minute to get the headset in a comfortable position after first putting it on, but overall I'd definitely recommend this product.

Okay, so here's the deal. I went into my local Best Buy to use the restroom and ended up walking out with a virtual reality purchase that was completely unintended. It is honestly well worth the $100 asking price.

This 2016 Samsung Gear VR is one of the best on the market. At $79 it's hard to beat. It fits the Samsung S5 phone and plays well. Only problem I have is the phone overheats and the system shuts down, but this is not the issue with the VR. To avoid this problem, after recharging the phone, you have to wait at least 20 minutes for the phone to completely cools off. Other than this, the VR plays well and easy to control. I recommend this device, especially with the promotional price.
