I purchased this product and really enjoyed it for the little time that I could use it. I thought the graphics were good and the games seemed fun. My problem was that it overheated my phone so quickly that it was really unusable. I followed others' advice and shut off everything on the phone and put it in Do Not Disturb mode, but at most I could only use the VR device for about 5 minutes before the phone would overheat. I finally got about 10 minutes of use when I stuck my phone in the freezer for 10 minutes before using the VR. I returned the item and would hold off on purchasing until the overheating issue can be resolved.

Samsung did a good job on this device i like it . When you are playing a game or just watching look different from just playing a game in your phone, more realistic graphics better if you are playing a horror game , I bet you going to stop playing or shi.t on your pants.

This is hands down the best mobile VR experience out there right now. If you have a new samsung smartphone this is the best VR headset you can use with it.

Got this as a bundled package with my new S7 Edge. After experiencing it, it was alot cooler than expected. For anyone interested in trying out VR, this is well worth the money at $100. I've tried Google Cardboard, Samsung Gear VR is definitely more polished.

All I can say is WOW!!! The Gear VR is totally worth it. You'll be amazed at what Samsung and oculus has to offer you won't regret it.

Virtual reality where have you been all my life? This system is a game changer, I'm awestruck at its capabilities at only $99

I really enjoyed the device for a few hours. While the hardware is great the software leaves much to be desired. There's a lack of content. To much in your face "look at this app $$$". And a complete lack of freedom. No 3rd party apps or other markets allowed. What they have is all you're allowed to use.

It's 1st Gen tech using a cell phone but it blew my mind. BOOM! This experience is better than my life changing first view of Mario 64, which I thought could never be topped.

This is such an awesome product. The experience is amazing. It's a little hard to focus sometimes but I love it. My whole family uses this.

This particular VR headset was developed by Oculus, a kickstarted company that wanted to bring VR back to life. Oculus had been working on this magnified lens VR approach for at least 4 years before this Samsung partnership even happened. The quality of this Mobile VR headset is indicative of the research and development that Oculus had done over the years to produce a convenient and smooth mobile VR headset. This VR is the introduction for the Oculus Rift that is to come sometime this year. Hop on the bandwagon and be ready for the future that is VR.

If you don't mind 3D then this are a must have accessorie to your latest Samsung phone. There's plenty of games but there's a couple which you need a wireless remote to play. Unfortunately the model they advertised in games, the Samsung Gamepad, is only available in UK. Oculus recommends the Steelseries which I find weird recommend one but promote another for games. Also if you have any 3D movie files you can watch them, just make sure there saved on a folder tiled 3D under the movie folder.

Virtual Reality is Best Reality. Netflix upon a virtual screen, displayed upon a real screen, in a reality that might not be real? IS THIS THE MATRIX? You can't tell anymore. Question your reality, the line between virtual and the truth is no longer needed. Take the red pill and see how deep the rabbit hole goes. Oh and the games are pretty tight, too.

This is a must have experience for anyone owning one of the compatible galaxy phones. Control is much better compared to the innovator edition. I would give it 5 stars if it had better picture quality and if I could use it for more than 10-15 minutes without turning it off for the phone to cool down. I wish samsung thought it through and added a fan or other cooling method inside the front cover. Maybe the next gear VR will come without these issues.

Phone over heats way too fast. Samsung Galaxy S6 plus. I travel a lot and thought this was going to be the answer to my dreams. I thought I could download and play movies. Well you can, but only through their app so all the movies and shows I already own I would have to repurchase them at god awful prices. and that is for standard type movies . All the 3d versions are just stupid money. And again just sitting hear in my living room trying to watch something every 5 minutes I get the over heating message.

This is a great buy just watching netflix alone is worth it . Great to have while passing time at work,school,home ect. Buy on its well worth .

Love the gear vr. Just Wish It Was hd.my only complaint is the focus..

I love the concept of this device the apps are cool looks amazing makes you feel like your somewhere else, only issue is that it overheats too fast.

I use it on my S6, really responsive. There are not many apps/games out there since the market is still small. I hope there would be more software released for the VR.

I love my Samsung Gear VR, it's truly an amazing device. I'm a big gamer, and this takes my gaming to another level, not to mention they have pre-installed apps and games. My favorite one is an app that brings you different places, and physical brings you around the whole place like if you were really there. It's absolutely insane, tons of funny and there's a video app where you can go into a theater and if a friend has a Samsung Gear VR you can sit next to each other like in a real theater and watch a movie, and look around like you were really there. I seriously can't say enough good things about this device, the only way to see is to pick one up for yourself, and believe me you won't be disappointed!
