The Gear VR headset is an amazing intro into the new world of VR. My expectations going in were low. Frankly, I just took it because it was a freebie with the purchase of my new Samsung Galaxy S7. However, I was treated to an amazing experience from the moment I put them on. If you a compatible Samsung phone, do yourself a favor and pick up one of these headsets!

On d whole a great VR...it is more fun while playing games and easy to use...gives a great 3d experience as well...

Other than a lot of the content not being in high definition, this vr is reasonably priced and works wonderfully

These things are freaking awesome! They are the real deal. Don't buy cheap knock offs. They are powered by your cell phone and you have many cool apps to download. The discovery channel is great! Imagine being right next to an elephant and being able to do a full 360 and see what's behind you. Not knly that you can literally look up into the sky. If you are viewing sharks in the ocean then imagine being submerged underwater and being able to look, down, and all around.

Simply a beautiful piece of tech that harnesses the unparalleled potential of the impressive Samsung phones these days and uses it to provide an untethered full on VR experience. Buy and thoroughly enjoy!!

The Samsung vr is a fun experience for a solid day after that the it's just stored away and rarely used

It's an awesome concept and it would probably be a lot more fun if I played games on it but there's not much I can do with it. It's not fun to sit there and watch a whole movie on it and it kills your battery and you can't use your phone to make calls or anything obviously. So ultimately it was fun the first couple times, but it got old really quick.

The idea and product is great but it really eats your phone battery. Maybe they should've done something with this product to assist with the limit of the phone battery like build in a battery to the device to support the battery power of the phone. you can't plug in your phone well using the device since the phone is plugged into the device.

Bought this gift for my husband and everyone enjoys it. Easy to use and lots of fun. Totally worth the price.

My daughter loves this thing. There is nothing wrong with it so far. The only reason I gave it a 4, is because if you are not around an Internet connection, you can't fully access everything the VR has to offer. So in conclusion, great product, and a lot of fun. Best used at home with working in telnet connection to get the full experience!

I started off with non-Samsung phones, even with 2K displays, and non-GearVR headsets. The experience was ... a novelty at best. Google Cardboard has some neat lil tricks and stuff, but nothing compared to Oculus/GearVR calibre. The Samsung GearVR powered by Oculus is a great product. Far more immersive and easy to use than any of the cheaper alternatives/combinations. Looking forward to how this tech is going to develop over the next few years.

I did not like the resolution. I can clearly see pixels which distracted me from the VR experience.

I have wanted to get a VR device for a long time and once I got the Samsung S7 it make perfect sense to get the Gear VR. The entire family has enjoyed the VR experience, would recommend getting the hand controllers to expand the number of games you can download and play.

My son kept asking me to look at these VR units and finally looked at some at Best Buy. I was surprised by the price and decided to try it out. It's light weight and easy to install the phone into it. It only work with new Samsung phones so my phone had to be asked to each time someone used it. Would be nice if older phones worked with it also

Easy to set up and use. Adaptable to most new galaxy phones.

Disclaimer, I got these VR glasses for free when I bought my phone, so I'm not out any money. With that being said though, I actually think I would buy them for $99 if I had to! It takes some getting used to, and obviously doesn't look realistic, but it will engross you! My favorite so far is watching Netflix with the glasses on. It puts you in a beautiful cabin setting in front of a big screen! It's very relaxing! I would definitely recommend these.
