The GearVR is a headset for vr as long as you have a compatible phone. I like the external batter hookup option (even though it will not charge the phone).. and more available apps than even on oculus. would recommend this for s tep up from cardboard.. but you are locked into a lot of "FACEBOOK" behaviors.. no free apps unless you give them a credit card.. constant requests to find friends in your contacts etc.. other than the data mining attempts its a good product..

The Samsung Gear VR is a great experience. It gives you the feeling that you are right in the middle of a live action game or event. Very easy to use and games and events to view are either free or at a very low cost.

I had a little trouble getting my Note5 to download the software, but once I did, all I can say is WOW! It's stunning how realistic the depth appears. Minecraft set to extreme VR actually can make you dizzy!!! I love it.

Pretty cool how you feel like you're inside the game

There is not a real reason to own one of these outside of it being a cool toy, but it is great to show to friends and relatives who haven't yet tried VR.

I was lucky enough to get this free with my phone when I upgraded. I wish it could work with more apps. Also overheats the phone and this will shut down.

This VR headset is great. It will be the defining experience for this generation of product. It would be great if there was a charging port for extended use.

I picked this up with my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge during the promotion and must say I wasn't disappointed. It was an awesome experience for the first try, There were times when I really felt that I was there, virtual to reality.

VR is just beginning and this is a great product to start with.

I've seen commercial and wondered what all the fuss was about but now I now. The whole family loves this product. It is unreal. Only thing is phone can get hot if used for a long period and you have to give it a break.

The VR glasses add a unique visual effect to use your phone. Downside would be it is limited to which phone it works with (as opposed to universal). Also it only works with the apps designed for the glasses

I was skeptical about this product with all the VR hype going on but this is really cool. I recommend checking out the demo at Best Buy to see for yourself.

The price was reasonable for the vr unit. It does make you loose track of time and can be addicting when you are playing video games. The headset controls are easy to use.

I bought as Christmas gift for my son & he loved it. Great fun especially watching him ( and siblings) react to the games or video they watching in it .

This is really the best budget headset out there. And for the money, you can't beat it. It's not perfect, but it is fairly new tech. It will get better.

I really enjoy using my Samsung Gear. I love the 3D experience.

I assume there will be more applications and uses for this in the future. Fun, but I don't know that I would have bought this if it didn't come with my phone.

This product is a lot of fun for the family we all took turns playing games and watching the other virtual reality programs. Once they got it in their hand they didn't want to let it go for someone else to get a turn.
