Purchasing The Geek Squad protection is one of the best things that you can do when you get a device particularly a laptop from Best Buy almost every single year something happens to my laptop there's some type of malfunction with it and I have to send it in for service and there's been instances where they said they couldn't fix it so I received a credit which is a gift card towards the purchase of a new laptop the only thing that I have to do is buy a new warranty and pay the difference. I received the full purchase value of the computer so that I can get a replacement One,annoying thing I is having to bring your computer to Best Buy and it even doesn't matter if it's a small issue they have to mail it off and it takes about 2 to 4 weeks to get your device back that's a little annoying but I'd rather have the the coverage instead of the expense and hassle of trying to find someone to repair my computer or if something malfunctions with it after the manufacturer warranty having to purchase a brand new computer 100% out of pocket so this is one of the best things you can do. make sure your manufacturer doesn't have a warranty that's comfortable because sometimes it can be a little cheaper I found out when I purchased my new computer that the manufacturer had a similar warranty but was significantly less just a FYI so make sure and you still even if you purchase the computer from Best Buy in some cases you can still purchase the warranty you can purchase the warranty separately and I believe if you don't purchase your accident coverage right away you still have 30 days to get it so but you know you don't want to play with it just do your homework but coverage for your device is important

got 3 kids, would recommend this for anyone who also has kids or takes their electronics out in general, they fix it with $0 deducible, unlike the best total care where they charge you a small amount to fix product

Haven't had to use it yet, thank goodness but it's super comforting to know it's there! I have a Yorkie that thinks getting on the table is AWESOME! Unfortunately, he is also totally oblivious to knocking over drinks or anything else he feel like is in his 'way'.

The agents helped me in a timely manner. They were very helpful and even provided me with store credit to repurchase my laptop due to the problem it had. The new computer is working wonderfully. I really liked how efficient the agents were.

I love the geek squad service. they are so helpful and fast. I add this with bigger purchases to insure my products against damage. I returned a product that got damaged before and it was so easy no hassle so I make sure to add this every time now.

My kid is going to college, and a 4-year plan where I don't have to worry about panicky freakouts over a broken laptop is a nice piece of mind.

This review is based on my past experience with Geek Squad Protection. Responses to request for service and advice were always prompt and on point, and each of the squad members were patient with me and knowledgeable about service and my computer.

I didn’t end up using because my laptop was in good condition and I had now issues with my computer it’s still works great.

It's always great and a good idea to get the protection plan

The accidental protection is one the best things offered through best buy. And the best thing is I don't have to deal with a third party I just go to my local store and they always have fixed or replaced the electronics that I have purchased with the this plan. It is well worth the price as it covers everything. I was sold on it years ago and have continued to purchase it ever time I buy new electronics.

I had purchased a laptop almost 3 years ago, when I really needed a new one. Over the summer, it stopped booting up, so I took it back in, and they replaced it with a gift card. I got a new one (that I liked slightly better) and had some left over, so I also got an ice maker, too.

Hopefully I'll never need the "Geek Squad", but I got the 1 yr protection to be on the safe side!

You never know what could go wrong so if the worst is some drop or spill or manufacturing error then atleast you know you’re covered ! 100% recommend especially for your pricey purchases!
