I’ve been getting service plans with Best Buy since the PS2 days. Never once has one not come in handy. They’re a must for me with high end purchases.

It's always a good idea to get extra protection plans on anything that you don't want to buy twice because while the quality is great in most of the new technology, any mass produced items have a few flaws once in a while, quality control is really good nowadays but it's always smart to be sure, I've had a few things that I have had to do the warranty on and I was really happy to have it because the manufacturer warranty had expired. I will always get the warranty.

I have a rest of mind knowing that if there’s anything going wrong with my setup, I’ll have a timely response from the Geek Squad to repair or replace the faulty parts.

Warranties can be kinda scary but sometimes needed as you never know

My Geek Squad Protection is the best purchase I could have made! I've had to use my plan twice so far since purchasing the TV. Once for the TV wireless capabilities, as the internal connector was not working, and once for the remote when the IR reader stopped working. The Geek Squad provided superior service both times. The wireless issue did take longer to solve, as the part was on back order for some time, but the Geek Squad kept in contact with me weekly to update me on the expected arrival and to let me know they'd not forgotten about me. Wonderful customer service!

Worth every penny to extend my warranty 2 more years and to get Geek Squad home service to fix and repair my new TV. I have had back surgery recently and am older. I needed a Geek Squad warranty to have the luxury of home service vs me having to load up my TV and taking it to a repair shop.

I enjoy having the peace of mind, knowing that if something happens to my product geek squad covers it

Purchasing Geek Squad is the best investment that I have ever made. Well worth the money. Geek Squad replaced a TV and dishwasher that went bad.

A warranty that you want to have, security if you have a problem they will address quickly if there's a problem but I never had any problems with Samsung TVs.

I have always purchased the Best Buy Protection Plan on big-ticketed items like TVs, laptops that could easily get damaged. I had been advised not to get it as it is a waste of money since products are built to last. But not all products do. For the $500/5yr Protection Plan I purchased in 2010, I have called Geek Squad several times to fix my broken TV. Paid $0 on all those house calls. When they could not fix the TV in my last service call, they replaced it. What did I get? A $1000 credit to go towards the purchase of a new one...Of course, I purchased the Protection Plan, thus this review :)

Geek squad are always life savers. I highly recommend their service if you’re ever in a bind

Highly recommend to get with purchases. My TV started to show bright spots on the edge after nearly 2 years. Made a call. They sent someone out. Determined the tv needed to be exchanged. Since my tv is still usable I was able get a gift card for the full amount I paid on my tv and keep my tv. They went above and beyond.

Really can’t give a review of service since I haven’t needed to use it. But I like knowing if something does go wrong with product purchased I have coverage at a reasonable cost.

Other stores would offer warranty but for $100 and some change we got the 5 year warranty couldn't resist a offer like that

I always get the warranty package!!! Highly recommend! I had my previous TV from Best Buy and it went out after only 18 months. Best Buy replaced it and reinstalled the new one at NO Charge!

They helped me out with my TV. They helped me look for a TV that was better.

Whenever I make large electronic purchases, I always consider and usually purchase the optional Geek Squad Protection which is typically for at least 5 years. Most of the time, it has come in very handy with address issues with products like when our Whirlpool Washer we purchased in 2007 had numerous issues (never the same problem) over the years which Best Buy fixed each time. Do yourself a favor and consider getting this when making large purchases.
