However when I took my system in the last time they did not want to do some of the needed work due to the age of my system. Either you fix systems or you don't. They were, of course, happy to scan and update software. Not sure it's worth the price

Tech help not very good

Good plan

Service good but difficult to use

Geek Squad Protection
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Geek Squad Protection is good for removing viruses and web threats but I feel it's misleading when it says unlimited installations of hardware because sum hardware they are incapable of installing at the store and they have to send it off for repair at Geek Squad City and there's an additional charge for that which they fail to mention at time of purchase

Geek Squad has went down
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love Best Buy! Dislike Geek Squad! Maybe 10 years ago I was so impressed with Geek Squad. No MORE! They basically hire inexperienced people that will allow you and your product to fall through the cracks. Terrible service, delays, very very very unorganized and suck up more time on just checking in and checking out. If you got an hour to waste and find out your charged for very little work done, then be my guest. Otherwise, Geek Squad is now the worst service to deal with in years. Unless they hire more experienced staff, get faster and more organized, go to someone else.

Laptop damage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I took my brand new HP laptop into Geek Squad for service due to it crashing only a few months after purchase. Lost use for two weeks while they sent it off for repair. Returned it to me with the rubber anti slip pad on back hanging loose. They removed it to remove screws to open the case. They say they cannot fix this “cosmetic” issue. Rubber anti slip is NOT cosmetic. Yet it was not loose until “they” removed it. Spoke to store manager who told me they could not get a replacement part. This is the last product I will ever buy from BestBuy, or now “WorstBuy.”

paid for help got none

Without fail, every time I have called in the evenings after work, I get a cranky agent who tells me they are too busy and to call back in the early morning hours (when most people are asleep !). Why should a customer be told to call during that time? They already took the money for the service, I have yet to see a benefit of it. I do not recommend it at all. I have had to fix my computer as best as I can but there are issues that will need their assistance. That's what I PAID for.

Have had a lot of problems getting it to work

Great space saver

Set was super easy and I was surprised how much I liked the large screen and the keyboard is very nice too. The Geek Squad helped me find a salesperson who actually knew about the stock, and I appreciated that because it's often hit or miss when you are browsing getting a knowledgeable sales person.

You never need them till it expires

This normally wouldn’t be a problem except when you don’t know they changed their policies and drive 45 min one way to find out they can’t help you until the next 2 days because you don’t have an appointment
