Why would anyone not get guaranteed backing from geek squad?

Have had issues with insignia in the past and it was always in the 13th month so this will extend my Warranty out enough to get my moneys worth.

I purchased a sony 4K 65" TV in december that hasn't worked right since the beginning. I have been trying to get resolution with Geek squad and am rather frustrated. Notes from prior conversations with customer support people are not in the file and they cannot reconnect me with the agent with whom I previously spoke. Given this problem at the very beginning I am less confident in the service support I would receive in the future. I am returning the TV and the warranty

5-Year Standard Geek Squad Protection for tv it is important

GOod to have, this has been a lifesaver for me a few times

No reason to make a purchase without a protection.
