I purchased a TV with 5 years protection plan. After experiencing a problem, I contacted Best Buy, expecting support through the 5-year protection plan I purchased. To my surprise, they told me their protection doesn’t start until after the 1-year Samsung warranty ends, and refused to take responsibility. I then had to go through Samsung, who eventually admitted they couldn't fix the issue and ended up refunding me for the TV and taking it back. When I returned to Best Buy to get a refund for the protection plan (since the product was no longer with me), they said it was already "in use" and deducted money for the days that had passed, even though they never actually provided any service or support. they refused to give me support and pushed me to contact Samsung. Don’t trust Best Buy. They sell expensive products, and even if you purchase their protection plan, they’ll find a way to dodge responsibility. You're better off buying elsewhere.

Excellent Geek Squad Service. Ordered the 2 year protection plan.

The protection plan is a life saver..it covers just about everything except for theft. Glad I got it!

I read a little about the protection service of this plan but a little lost on the details that are covered with the two year protection.

Hopefully I will never have to use the 2 year protection but having it gives me peace of mind.

You should almost always buy a extended warranty but they can be a bit pricy, Nice to have though.
