My cat knocked off my tv and when i went to claim the protection plan they told me impact damage wasnt covered what is the point in a protection plan if its only good if the tv messes up i bought the protection plan for damage to the tv like a kid accidentally running into the stand or ect. not for bestbuy to possibly send me a bad product then it become useless

The in store sales represent assured us this covered any warranty issues or damage. Fully covered in case "you drop it in the parking lot". Within 6 months of the original purchase the TV was unfortunately damaged and not only will Best Buy not help, their team says so such plan has ever existed. This is a waste of money and a deception. Do not buy.

I have never had to use this protection plan but it’s a nice piece of mind

Loved the TV. Hated the fact that my warranty was a stupid buy. I spent 140 on the TV, 20 on the warranty. My son broke the TV, i paid 35 to send it away and get it fixed. They tell me it's set for an exchange. I get a gift card for 95 dollars. Got told the hisense tv is out of stock.

I don't recommend it Better make sure you have your lawyer take care of that situation Geek squad to me is no good

I have no clue how good this coverage is until I end up using it.

You pay for Geeksquad but they wont help you unless it's been over a year because the tv I bout has a 1 year warranty so GS said they can't do anything because it's Samsungs problem til them. And i can't get any answers from Samsung after they sent a tech to my house and told me it's a software problem and nothing the tech could do but call Samsung and see what they want to do. So I called samsung and they wanted to send a tech again.. WHAT???

The geek squad warranty is good except for the fact the clock starts at purchase however your still stuck dealing with the manufacturer directly for the manufacturer warranty period, Best Buy claims your covered from day one except that’s only for non covered issues. You can’t go to Best Buy for covered issues or handle the repair via the manufacturer. That part is ridiculous.

Well if you buy a computer they are helpful. The problem is I bought a TV and they give zero advice about setup instructions. They inform you that they can send someone out to install it for you or call the manufacturer. So the only good thing about an extended warranty with Best Buy is that you can return it to Best Buy instead of dealing with the manufacturer.

A little too expensive if you ask me. I was second guessing it since costco offers 2 years protection for free.

The agents brought my tv in and left it was in the factory box

They gave me run around on my computer but finally did their job

This is the typical coverage plan they sell you for everything you buy. Please stop asking if I need this or don't. ITs kind of silly not to offer this for free. As it stands you need to buy the coverage, login, register your product. I couldn't register my product and now my coverage is pointless. Asking for a refund gets you put into an ever cyclical loop of 'sorry we can't refund you and even though you can't register your product we don't care' Sad and useless. Used to be worth it not anymore.

Asked salesperson about what all warranty covered. Was told EVERYTHNG if I bought the most expensive protection offered , so I bought what was SUPPOSED to be the top of the line. Salesperson showed me a pamphlet that showed accidental damage covered since I was worried about having young children and buying a expensive TV. HOPED to NEVER have to use warranty but lo and behold the kids hit and cracked the screen with a ball while playing in the house. Called and was told only thing warranty covers is IF it quits working other that damage.

The added warranty seems to be needed and a good value as Tvs don't seem to last like thy once did.
