I bought one of these after reading the reviews. The first one was missing the unique cable that goes from the battery to the headset so the device wasn’t unusable. We returned that purchase to the store. The second one came with everything and was in much better condition. Both drones had “last video footage” saved in them from the Best Buy refurbishing center and the people who worked on these units last before they were purchased. If Best Buy reads this I’d suggest having a checklist for items like this to improve the experience of those buying “geek squad certified” refurbished items. It makes geek squad look like they have no idea what they are doing. Overall the drone works great. My son enjoys it and he ordered the battery kit that has 2 more batteries and charges all 3 (each one charges one at a time but they can all be connected). If you’re wanting to learn FPV or even learn how to fly a drone this one allows you to do both and the refurbished price is great if you’re willing to buy a few of them until you get one in great shape and return the one that shouldn’t have passed the refurbished test.

I picked this up today (4/25) and opened it in store to make it worked, guy said id have to wait a day to bring it back even if it was broken. Not a big deal, charged it up some and flew it earlier with no problems. The last video saved to the goggles was the refurbisher testing it in their warehouse. Ok let's get to the actual review. The drone came thrown in the box but was in excelent condition and only had smudges from the fingers of the person who previously had it. The controller, goggles, and drone were already bound together. Im assuming the drone is still registered to the previous person, I'll have to contact DJI about that. All of the cables necessary were provided except for otg cable to connect the phone to the goggles. Flew great no issues whatsoever. I've used best buy refurbished in the past for other items and had good luck, but even if yours comes messed up or missing essential items, just return it, get your money back, and get another one. I'm sure if you explain the situation to someone at your best buy they will understand.

The drone arrived missing several components including battery, charging cable, and head strap. The item was refurbished but showed significant signs of use including several scratches, the box the drone and accessories was packed in was a DJI box but it didn’t correctly hold all the components. Pretty disappointing and the DJI box was taped with masking tape.

I received a plain brown cardboard box with the drone wrapped in 1 later of half popped bubble wrap without a battery for the drone or the goggles. Also were no props or charger for the battery that wasn’t in the box. So I basically received the FPV drone, goggles and the controller luckily the battery is inside the controller otherwise I do not think it would’ve been in the box either. Needless to say, I returned the drone in-store, and was worried about how I was going to explain the missing items, but customer service made it painless to return it as they had encountered this issue multiple times before. .

Complete garbage. Thrown in a dirty box. Missing propellers. Geek squad certified refurbished is embarrassing.

Returned. Box arrived dirty and torn. For BB refurbished, I have bought many products this way, it was poor. I thought I got a great deal until I received it. Missing parts and looked very used. This will make me think twice about BB refurbished items. I’ll only buy in store after I inspect.
