I hacent had an experience with geek squad yet, but from what i now from relatives. Its worth it because they csn cover you ip to 3 diferenct devices from any problem.

Some me times is a good idea to have this coverage just incase.

Geek Squad did a phenomenal job fixing my crashing computer. Also installed a new security program. And fee covers a year of service on 3 computers, a good deal.

A couple of months prior to my purchase of another Geek Squad service plan, I had bought from Best Buy a Kaspersky Internet Security subscription including the hardcopy (disc). I promptly downloaded it and it performs OK My complaint is that when I later, after several inquiries, realized it was too late to renew my previous Geek Squad plan, I purchased a new subscription for two more years of Geek Squad services and was appalled to learn I had no choice but to pay for another overlapping Kaspersky Internet Security that (with no options) had to be activated that very day. I should have been told of this policy when I was about to pay the $49.99 (plus tax) for my Kaspersky a couple of months earlier and I would have purchased the Geek Squad plan at the same time! Forced into paying for duplicate coverage on the same computer(s) -- NOT ETHICAL

I have contacted tech support several times. Overall, I have been please with the service. On one occasion I had been on the phone with a tech for about 25 minutes when suddenly the call was disconnected. I called back and held for 30 minutes before I was able to talk with someone else. When I told the second person what had happened he told me that after a certain period of time their calls can automatically disconnect. It sounded as if the tech is only given a certain amount of time per call and if the problem isn't solved you are out of luck. The second tech assured me he would program his phone so that did not happen and also entered my number in his phone in case we were disconnected so he could call me right back. The techs I have dealt with were very courteous and helpful. I felt that they really wanted to get my issue taken care of. .
