Haven't used the Geek Squad yet, but it's nice to know they're available whenever needed!

Geek Squad was prompt on replacing the dead hard drive in my 3 year old computer. Unfortunately, the replacement drive he installed had a bad sector and it took the 800 phone support technician to figure that out. Then I still had to do a lot of convincing at the local store before the poor technician who had worked on my machine 24 hours earlier that he had installed a bad drive. Once he saw the error log, he not only replaced the replacement drive with another new drive but he did it in 24 hours, reinstalled not only my back up but my email software and backed up email files.

I recommend this product for anyone that is not an expert. Geek squad is very help full.

The money I have spent on the purchase of Geek Squad Service Contracts was probably the best money I ever spent. My recent experience involved my computing crashing from a virus. I literally pick my computer up off my desk and drove it over the the closest Best Buy. When I got there, the customer service agent told me that the store recently instituted a policy requiring appointments to see and geek squad service rep. I explained that my computer was literally crashing as she spoke to me and luckily she checked the schedule and there was an appointment available 5 minutes later. The Geek Squad Sefvice reps that helped me that day (and on the day I came back to pick up my computer) were wonderful. Unbelievably, the Geek Squad was able to recover all of my previously stored documents as well as all of my programs since I never backed-up the information and programs on the computer since the day I purchased it. Thanks to the Geek Squad, all's well that ends well!

If you buy a new computer with Windows 8, GeekSquad is a MUST HAVE! W 8 is terrible: conflicts, printer problems, connection problems, and much, much, more. I recently purchased a new Samsung laptop which had Windows 8. It is a nightmare! If it were not for the GeekSquad, I would have returned the entire computer. In just 3 short weeks, I must have used at least 30 hours of GeekSquad support - all included with the GeekSquad package. Without it I, and my business, would have been lost. My first bit of advice is: Buy a copy of Windows 7, then take it to Best Buy and have them wipe the drive clean and install it. (Best Buy no longer sells computers with Windows 7 in their stores.) Second bit of advice: Get the GeekSquad package - at least 1 year of it.

This helps when you have accidents or problems with you electronics. highly recommend.
