It's peace of mind knowing help is just a phone call away any time of the day or night. The price is minimal when you aren't computer savvy; I've already used the service for installing my new printer, and it was in the wee hours of the morning. Thus far, all of the representatives in the Ames, Iowa location as well as the Geek Squad phone help have been very knowledgeable and helpful. Go Geeks!

I would like the website for an on-line tutorial.

GS Tech Support is the reason I shop at Best Buy

What separates BB from every other retailer is the GS support that you can get with it. Better than any other support service I've ever tried. Professional, knowledgeable, courteous and generally very quick. What can I say, you guys are the best. As long as there is GS Tech Support, I will not shop anywhere else.

I purchased this so that support will be available for my son while he is away at college, this gives us peace of mind that his laptop will be in good working order for a long time.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.one morning my laptop decided to have a nervous breakdown and i could not for the life of me figure out how to restore to it's pre-breakdown state. so i took it into the geek squad . it was embarrassing to not be able to explain.however, RJ was very patient and in what seemed like no time, had it back to normal. and later i was told that RJ is the computer guru! and the best !! it was a pleasure to deal with the Geek squad.

Not sure I needed Web root--that was a surprise charge? This purchase/charge was snuck in with my over Geek Squad member ship. I have my own security software and did not need.

Was able to get help to correct my problem over the phone. With this support package I feel comfortable that I can get help on my other computers if I have a problem

Geeks helped to install new hard-drive, along with windows and my old Microsoft Office Programs. They gave me back my old-drive and told me that they couldn't extract files for now. Also, they informed me that the back-up computer was down, but they would call me as soon as it was working again. It has been a month and I still have not heard back from them. Otherwise, the computer is working fine.

My only "issue" is that a couple of times, when I have had more then one problem, one of the problems gets overlooked. But when I connect with agent they are happy to get right at it.

So far when I needed assistance, Geek Squad has helped me out.

I immediately used the plan to have my old laptop repaired. It took a week to get it back and the only thing they did was delete some unused programs and install the new anti virus software. They said it took a long time to run the diagnostics. Oh well...it was free with the warranty so I guess I can't complain too much.

bought to cover several devices

I loved the fact that you can have your device looked at for any reason at anytime. The week after purchasing this item, I took my own laptop in to have it repaired ( for free as one of 3 devises covered) they removed a virus and up graded memory. My lap top works great now! I suffered with a slow laptop due tothe price of haviing it fixed,well this was free.

Problem solving done until everything works

No worries means you can always call for help. The agents I spoke to stayed on the line and solved each problem one by one until everything was installed and working. Also, a Geek Squad contract means that not only can they help you by phone, but the local BB store has someone you talk to face to face.

Now that i have the geek squad for free im going to get my old computer fixed for free and have two computers.

Every member of the squad was professional, knowledgeable, & patient. I was confident that they had the expertise to solve whatever problem they were dealing with in a competent & efficient manner. ||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Can save money if you don't know your way around a computer well, but are observant when problems arise and are willing to spend some time and be patient in getting it across to the agents at the counter - because although most of them are friendly and mean well, sometimes they are understaffed and try to help too many people at the same time; some of them have their own prejudices about apps and don't hear you when you try to tell them apps-schmaps, it's more likely a malware issue that's gotten past your AV and you need help with; a few simply abstract what you tell them too much and get the language wrong when they write it on their form. Good turn around time, tho, and can be quite helpful.

Not what I expected

I asked them to save my data and explained that what is on the computer is Windows 7, 64 bit. I left the Windows disc and my Norton antivirus. He looked at the Windows 7 disc, 64 bit and stated it had a minor scratch, but should be OK. About 5 days later I received a call stating my computer was ready and my information had been reload I ed. I got home, hooked up and could not find the info that they said was reloaded. I took the back disc and loaded them, but could not figure out where it went. I tried again, still nothing. I called the number for the Geek Squad listed on my paperwork. I explained my problem, I was asked do you want to take it back in, I said no. I was connected to an agent that sounded as if he really did not want to help me. He sign into my computer and pointed out where the info was and stated just drag and drop it where you want it, and disconnected. I tried dragging and dropping, that didn't work. I ended up with duplicates all over the place. When I tried to reload Office with the 64r bit, it did not work. I tried a couple of time and it just really messed up things. I went to my Computer and saw that what was loaded was Windows 7, 32 bit. I took the computer back and advised them that 64 bit was supposed to be loaded. A few days later I received a call stating the 64 bit disc is cracked and that's why they did not load it the 1st time. If was funny that no one told me that. She asked if I wanted to pick it up. I told her I would call back. The disc was not cracked when I dropped it off. I went back with a new Windows 7, 64 bit disc and am waiting to see what is said this time. I am spending all this money for nothing.
