Had to use this to install a program. Was installing a virus program this week and had it done on two other units by following the instructions, then came number three, after about five hours with the Geek Squad taking over that unit and trying this and that, to be honest I have no idea as to what they were doing, the program was installed, and they run various checks to make sure everything was good to go.

I have only had this service for my product a short time and have not had a need to contact geek squad yet. It is nice to know that I have it if I need it, but the cost of the service is wayyyy too expensive. When inquiring about the cost, they don't tell you the cost until you're literally at the checkout, which is a bit deceitful to me.d I did ask an agent a the store a questions regarding where pictures downloaded form a camera would go with windows 8 and received an 'I don't know' response and the person did not provide any suggestions or offer to ask anyone else for input. If I do end up using this service, I sure hope the agents are knowledgeable and friendly.

Needed to have Geek Squad set up my Samsung all in one computer. Having Kaspersky installed helped ease my mind. Geek Squad will help with all your installations for programs and apps.

First computer came back with other issue that were not there to begin with - but sgents were very friendly and helpful to get this fixed. Second computer has been in for over a week now - hard to get by if you don't have duplicated files.

This service is worth every penny. Starting your new computer from the internet sounds so easy and it should be, but HP hasn't got it completely right. Had to call the Geek Squad and they walked me through the fix for my problem in a patient, friendly way. They were also a great help in getting rid of those sneaky pop up ads that invade your computer when you download a program (a well known program!).

Overall I think Geek Squad Tech Support is the best! It worth the price for the preventative maintenance alone which can be done in the comfort of your own home! or anywhere you can access GeekSquad.com. I had a few computer problems and I recommend you see if they can fix things remotely before you bring it into the store.

Called regarding iPad and cover,was told not to do what I asked about and to bring it in. Got that solved myself, and later called to get another answer. Was told , " You called before, so you obviously don't know what you are doing. Bring it in tomorrow." I got the answer myself again, by searching the manufacture's web site, which led to on online demo. At this point, I am not impressed!

Overall, this is worth doing. It works in phases, so you get the least technically skilled first. Sometimes they get it done (since I am so tech-poor). But you need to know when to ask--insist--on getting moved to more experienced people.

Over the past 6 years or so, I have utilizied this service numerous times, always getting the issue taken care of and the cost has been well worth the investment. Only issue is it appears recently a change has been made which now makes the Geek Squad responsible for returns, which ties up their time and expertise, which means it takes longer to get something repaired when they are tied up with paperwork.

Took my sick computer that I jut had serviced by another so called computer expert FOR THE THIRD TIME that kept blaming me for doing something wrong not their service..found the problem quickly and professionally found 11 yes eleven virus and cleaned them..suggested WEBOOT have not had a problem since. Took to other computers in for a complete tuneup and virus protection ..completely satisfied..

The Geek Squad members walked us through the Brave New World of Windows8 & brought us out of our Cave into the New Age of Technology - working with us through the differences between Microsoft Express & Windows7 compared to Windows8. After 2 weeks & much practice, I am feeling more comfortable! And, without the start up help of the Geek Squad, I feel like I probably would still be back at square one.

IT IS NICE TO KNOW THAT I CAN GET IN TOUCH WITH THE GEEK SQUAD AT ANYTIME 24/7. I WORKED WITH A PERSON WITH THE REMOTE CONTROL FEATURE AND IT WAS FASCINATING WATCHING MY COMPUTER BEING CHECKED AND CORRETED ONCE THE PROBLEM WAS FOUND. THEY APPEAR TO KNOW JUST WHAT I NEED AND KNOWING THEY ARE THERE IS A COMFORT FOR ME.

the tech support was great the technician was good ,he was very helpful and cleaned up all of our computers. he helped with setting up the Internet and our game systems.and the online support finished helping clean up and set the rest

Excellent customer service, Computer hard drive failed on Christmas Day. Brought it Thursday, replaced the drive and cloned everything from the other drive without losing any programs or data and it was ready late Saturday, amazing.

I had recently updated my anti virus, when my computer began to have problems. The anti virus I was using said my system was updated and clean, but clearly there was an issue. I took it to best buy, talked to a geek, took their recommendation about a new anti virus and let them install it update the system. It was done on time, and for the price they quoted, and the fix was spot on. Geeks are great!

The in-house support installed Java on the start screen but we didn't test it. When I got home it wouldn't work. Later (after I messed with it alone at home) I waited AN HOUR for live person. After that he spent time trying to figure it out. After I called the website I was trying to use to see if they encountered the problem he told me what the problem was and then the geek squad rep was able to fix it. I know technology is leaping ahead of the geek squad,,,, but dang the support isn't cheap and I don't call often.

I came with my 7 year old computer which was frozen and it wouldn't allow my acess. They took one look brought a disc to my computer and removed the password required acess in no time at all. Even though I bought a new laptop for up to date uses I still I my good and old faithful laptop in for repairs. They took time to talk and walk me through the new system and I left the store with a happy face!

Without the Geek Squad, I'd be totally lost! They've helped me in person, and by remote. They've corrected so many problems with my home computer, laptop, and office computer, that I just couldn't believe how much they've done for me, for the small cost of a 2 year membership. It would cost a fortune to take these problems to any other type of tech service. They really know what they are doing!

I purchased the Geek Squad tech support plan when I bought my new computer. I had to call the Squad several times for help and was completely satisfied with the service. The agent was fast, pleasant, and very knowledgeable. He solved my issue quickly which is more than I can say for the manufacturers tech support. I will always choose the Geek Squad for help and guidance...and so should you.

Local Agent - Installed my data from other computer, installed programs, installed my printer and handled my email issues. Answered all my questions. National agent was a zero personality with little feedback who manged to disconnect us twice on two different days. Never got help from him (three hour time difference).
