Basically a very wise idea for myself-I am NON tech savvy and have had to call on the GEEK squad few times now-they have always been courteous and helpful-understanding as well (at my lack of ability). Also, it is nice that the cost covers 3 items-however I feel there should be an optional charge for those that may only have one item. Over all-YES-I would purchase the GEEK squad tech support again!!

Geek squad took the time to explain issues with laptop; tried several work arounds so I would not have to leave laptop; work arounds did not work but glad they tried.Explanations VERY detailed; was not rushed even though 3 other computers were waiting. Did not like I had to contact store directly for status on computer; for three days website showed computer had been checked in and that was all.

If you have a computer, but don't have a degree in computer science, you need a team to turn to when online help is not enough to puzzle through a problem, or something has gone very wrong. We would never tolerate the unreliability of pc's in any other household appliance, but when the "blue screen of death" appears, or the computer freezes it is great to have the Geek Squad available to apply cpr.

The plan covers 24/7 tech support, I love that. The agents are knowledgeable and friendly. I've always gotten good service from the instore agents also. One outstanding feature is the security plan covers 2 additional com[puters, that's great. I will most likely renew the security coverage & recommend it to others.

I got the virus protection plan and I must say at first I was kind of scared to purchase it because of the price but to be honest it was well worth it because you get, in addition to virus protection, a whole year of repairs to three devices. The Geek Squad Reps was very attentive and knowledgeable and answered all my questions with clarity. I would recommend this virus protection to everyone!!!

This was a good price at half off for one year of security. I have only used the Geek Squad once, and my only problem was they didn't set up my computer like I was told they would do. But I do feel relieved that I have support 24/7.

Called the Geek Squad - asked about the making of recovery disc for Windows 8 - they had no clue or the agent i spoke too notified me they had no instruction on file - weird i say

The service technicians in the store are so nice and knowledgeable. They never make you feel like a fool when you really show your computer ignorance. The service for cleaning my computers were faster than expected. I can not say enough about the Geek Squad in the Asheville, NC store. If you buy a computer don't walk out the door without the Geek Squad unless you are an expert computer tech. .

Many locations and very convenient service to use. The personnel seemed knowledgeable but found out later that they don't do anything in house. Don't like that you can't purchase a one time fix, you have to purchase a service plan.

I signed up for Geek Squad as I am not a technology guru and needed a geographically close resource. Geek Squad set my ASUS up for it's initial use; loaded the Webroot software Best Buy provided me with along with my ASUS purchase and prepared my old Lenovo laptop for my cousin. All in all - outstanding support. Their commercials don't do justice to the customer sat they live and breath.

Had trouble with Outlook setup. Used ATT U-Verse Chat twice to get me going. Each time it worked but a day or two later, my problems reoccurred. Geek Squad took over my computer and got Outlook working properly and while on phone, fixed some other issues for me. Love the "lifeline" and highly recommend getting them for first year of Windows 8 and Office 2013 use. You will probably need them!

Took in my old IMac which needed a new administrative password and it was not accepting any typing in the message area on my emails. They kept it about 8 days and couldn't fix the problem as they said it was to old to upgrade. ;-(

It was great to have the service explained to me the first time. I felt confident in their ability and will use the geek squad again. They were a great help for a virus infected computer. I think Jeff was his name.

For the most part I am not a fan of extended warranties, but having bought an all in one computer, I am glad to have the geek squad now. The people working in the geek squad dept are very helpful and friendly. They got my computer back up and running in just one day. And not I know if I should have any problems or need help understanding something on my computer they are there to help me.

Due to the price of the laptop and the package deal, i bought the Geek protection, full package. Includes incidental damage. Hopefully this will be a good investment when I need them. Will let you know. Giving them a 4 to start?

For $100, it's silly to not get this coverage if you're buying a new computer. I damaged the DC jack on the laptop I bought this coverage for three weeks after I brought the machine home. The accidental damage that my new laptop suffered was covered in full and I didn't have to spend an extra dime to fix it. The agents have been very helpful and happy to answer questions. Totally worth it!

I lost my computer to a Trojan horse and friends that ate windows. Geek Squad recommended a newer computer rather than trying to repair my old machine. After selecting a new machine, they recovered ALL my data, transferred it to my new machine as well as installing all needed software. I was back up in 24 hours. AND I have the comfort that if this happens again, they are there to help me.

The tech support is great, I had a virus on my computer, and they recommended the software and installed it--they saved my computer!!

gs did well and cautioned me of the 8.1 upgrade over 7. i am a programmer and need 8.1 for testing. the negative was due to a phone question i had re: 8.1 features. i resolved it without gs help, maybe i didn't need to call.
