Overall, we have been using this Geek squad service for 3 years also and for 3 different laptops/desktops and have been totally satisfied with level of service / professionalism of techs to date. thanks.

Haven't needed to use it yet. We had this in the past and the techs were very unprofessional, which stopped us from shopping at Best Buy for several years. Hopefully going to another store will fix that.

I thought the price was good and geek squad did a diagnostic on my hp laptop and said it was fixed but 2 weeks later the motherboard went out and now I have no computer. Why didn't they discover that when they did the diagnostic? So I bought the warranty to get my laptop fix and now I have a warranty without a computer. I was told the warranty would take care of my computer so I bought it thinking all was good now you tell me what I do now with this warranty?

Tech folks were not all that friendly. Just another computer to work on! Explained the service but as soon as I agreed added other "add-ons" like the data back-up service ($150) if I wanted it. The account was in wife's former name and they changed it on the system only to have it not being changed on the service end as they didn't have the computer on the shelf using the new name when we picked it up. At pick-up it was here's the PC, pay us, here's receipt, move on!

After spending much money on computer repairs, I purchased the Geek Squak tech support for 2 years instead of 1 yr. Truly paid off, I had a virus that I could not remove..Geek Squal removed it and repaired the damage from it as well. Wonderful job. Runs like new, and I can get up to 3 computers fixed each year, and doesn't cost an arm and leg either.

Online scheduling was very easy to do although "Consultation" and "Field Ready Set-up" are only available in 15 minute increments (I scheduled 2 time slots for each). The tech who assisted me was very knowledgeable and assisted with both software installation and Windows 8 tips.

I like the technical service that was provided. The only down part was the 45 min waiting time on Sunday Morning to pick up the PC. They make appointments and if some customers have questions and take longer ( what is okay for great customer service) they don't have enough staff for the amount of customers waiting. Will never go early Sunday morning.

Considering how much it costs to bring in a computer for repair, this is a great deal. I'm not usually one for service contracts, but this is worth it especially because it covers up to 3 computers. We bring them in when we have problems or just to get them cleaned up and checked for viruses. This is the only service contract that I would endorse.

I went to the Geek Squad with a virus I couldn't get rid of. They immediately knew the problem and what to do to fix it. You are able to track the progress on the repair of you computer to the finish. The turnaround time might be long, but with so many computers they see, very understandable. They really came through for me and I am very satisfied.

When we picked up our computer from the Geek Squad, Windows 8 was completely new to us. The agent went so fast we had to keep asking him to slow down. I still don't know how to do many things because he made me and my husband feel like idiots if we asked a questions. It was his expression/tone in his voice. Sorry guys not everyone is a computer wiz.

Very knowledgeable people. My old PC's power supply died, so no way to get stuff off of it. These guys hooked up a power supply and migrated everything to my new PC when they did the set up of the new one. There was no way I could have done that. Kaspersky ($50) is free when you buy this service, making it a no brainer for someone getting a new PC.

It was a shame that my computer was hacked by a tech support agent in India but, I was very happy that the Geek Squad could clear the invaded programs.

After taking my computer in for work because it was freezing up and generally not working right, it was determined that a new hard drive was needed. When I got it home, there were still some problems, so I called the Geek Squad. The rep I got was very knowledgeable, and he cleaned up a number of remaining problems after "taking over" my computer.

As a small business owner, working from home, I needed to upgrade one of the laptops. While doing so, I purchased the Geek Squad support for one year. It has been a tremondous help, and they've taught me a few "tricks" along the way. I've used both in store and online support.

Laptops quick working with wireless printer. First call to Geek Squad fixed my Windows 8 laptop quickly. Second call the next day to Geek Squad took much longer (3 hours) needed to fix all the conflicts between 6 printer drivers and various security software that had been loaded over the years. I would never been able to fix myself. Thanks Geek Squad!

Tech support is a bit expensive but when you do have to use it at least once it usually pays for itself. The tech told me I needed an appointment but didn't tell me that when they charged me for it when I originally bought the extra support. The pick up time was great though.

It's great having the Tech Support. I know that they can answer any questions that I may have about my new laptop and that they will also be able to fix my laptop if I were to have any issues with it.

I don't really know how good it is but took the word of the geek guy so have high hope for it. Other than that, I haven't had it long enough to make an educated judgment about.. Do you want my name?

We purchased this coverage for a new computer that we acquired for our high school granddaughter's birthday. Although she has not yet had need for the service, it's there should the need ever apply.
