This a great unit ! I have asthma and it helps keep the air clear

2 of 2 this model AC-4825 UV- buttons were defective; 1 had scratch that was marked by a red arrow. I wrote GG and they said there was no fix to return them. Fliters worked well other than that important feature.

I bought it based on reviews but I may take it back. It is noisy and it hasn't seemed to help. As a matter of fact I have a sore throat now after using it for a couple of days.

We used this to get the smell out of the air after a water issue and it worked great.

I've owned this air purifier for about a year now. It is very nice, the only issue I have had with it is the instructions tell you to take the carbon filter apart and then vacuum it. When I took it apart the first time it ripped. I called the manufacturer and they sent me whole new filter. They recommend not taking the carbon filter off, and just vacuum the filter as it is assembled.

The purifier does its job well but the only thing is that it releases cold air but otherwise is good

since I have started using this the lingering smoke just disappears

Not great but not bad either. For that price its worth it.works good and do take odor away.

Definitely get your money's worth, but it could be better. I would definitely compare prices amd features before buying.

I use this in the bed rooms and bath rooms.. Takes smells out.. Cleans the air.. Some people might complain about the noise but I love it.. I can go to sleep with it on all night, but my wife can't..

I like this air purifier. I leave it on for 24/7 and change its filter almost once a year.

So far this air purifier has worked wonders in my home. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I also took advantage of Best Buy price match, which was also awesome!

With all the great reviews, I purchased 2 of these to replace my two, 14 year old ionic-type purifiers. Not that they were not working, they did very well at removing odors, not really capable of removing dust from the duct work, but I thought its time in case they stopped working with age. I have one of these GGuardians in the finished basement, moves the air around pretty well and will take in some dust particles but does not take out any cooking odors that may linger there, as the kitchen is at the top of the entrance. The other unit I have in the entrance of the kitchen which is quite small. I point it into the small area to get rid of cooking odors and it FAILS to do it, even on the high speed. It will remove some of the smoke if frying but the odor still reeks. I end up setting my old purifier and it will take care of the odors. Very disappointed in the removal of odors of cooking in such a small area and find it terribly frustrating to bring a 14 yr old purifier down to finish the job. Both my items were at full price, not on sale like they are now. This is my second attempt to send a review, the other never made it in. Overall I give a 2 only for the fan capability to move air and keep some dust at bay in the basement. The other gets a ZERO for my intended use in a small kitchen.

They're actually a lot louder than I thought they would be. I've had other floor standing air purifiers in the past and they were not as loud as this one.

I have left this on to deal with my allergies when I am sleeping. It seems to help although due to its size it does not cover a large area.

I have two of these in my house and I love them. They make a big difference.

Worked fine with the first filter. All replacement filters I've put in need changed in 2 days and put out a horrible smell. I have used the actual Germguardian replacement filters and it's turned into a huge money pit. Horrible for the money you pay.

I have a big door at home, so this product does help to circulate the air indoor

Purchased from Best Buy in May, 2018. Fan stopped working August, 2018. Up until this point, it was working great. I ran it every night in my small bedroom (about 7 or 8 hours a day). I purchased a new HEPA and pre-filter hoping that might be the problem, but nope. It wasn't. Tried to reset the lights (even though the light was still green), but that didn't work either. Sad truth is I just got a bum deal and returning it to Ohio for warranty is just wasted money that I could be investing in a better quality unit. So, I spent $90 on the unit, $25 on the replacement filter, and sending it to Ohio for warranty on the off chance it MIGHT be covered is another $30. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because when it worked, it worked well. But under the circumstances, I can't and won't recommend this product.

Pros: Aham certified, energy star certified, true hepa filter. Cons: Loud (on any setting), doesn't clean air or get rid of odors. Ran in my bedroom for almost 4 hrs and air quality felt the same. Tried it in a smaller bedroom for 4 hrs and did nothing. Tried using the uvc light and setting it in different places around the room with no luck. Delivers very little clean air. I previously owned a Honeywell that would blow out a strong cool flow of air, and worked just as good as a potable ac unit in our home. Disappointed with this product returning it tomorrow and splurging on a Honeywell.
